Just saw your review here Ger from a couple of weeks back. We are sorry to hear of your disappointment with your telephone conversation with one of our salespersons. Unfortunately the vehicle had just arrived and this particular salesperson was not very familiar with this particular vehicle and therefore wanted to have someone more informed call you back with precise information. I imagine his demeanor may have been misinterpreted but if not we apologize. I understand from my office that a follow up call was indeed made but again apologize if you did not seem to have received it. Unfortunately the vehicle has now been sold but trust you will accept our sincere regret for your perceived experience.

I called this business to inquire about a Land Rover Defender that they have in stock. I started to ask some questions that an educated buyer of this specialty vehicle would ask, but the English gentleman on the other end didn't have any of the answers to my questions and told me to refer to the listing online. I explained that none of the listings online had the information either, to which he very rudely interjected and said "I may as well tell you this truck is $120k" as if to shoot down any ideas I had of buying it! I didn't ask the price because I know the price range that these trucks go for. He took my details for someone else to call me back, and 2 days later I've not heard from anyone! I'd recommend taking your business elsewhere, I certainly wouldn't entertain buying from them.

Our short reply - "Nonsense" Our long reply - 1 email found in our Spam folder only after seeing buyers initial negative Google feedback does not constitute "trying to reach out several times to contact us without any answer". We also have a telephone number which also has an answering machine for after business hours? Our making contact with the buyer after finding said email to address any possible issues with the car does not constitute "manager calling to negotiate erasure of negative feedback, only an attempt by us to resolve any possibly legitimate complaint/s. Buyers (unmentioned in feedback) demand of immediate reimbursement for reported repair/s "to avoid further negative feedback" does not constitute a resolve to find a fair solution but rather amounts to "feedback blackmail" to which we will not subscribe to under any circumstances. It is unfortunate that in this day and age too many entities are being systematically and unfairly exposed to this unregulated form of modern day extortion and harassment which can be used for a variety of dubious and often unethical reasons. The record will clearly show that we at West Coast Classics, after selling thousands of classic cars over the years, are only too happy to address any reasonable and legitimate complaint/s from any client of ours buying a car from us sight unseen as can be seen and proved from our long and virtually unblemished history and feedback, but unfortunately for Mr Jean-Francois Sebastian any mutually acceptable solution was rendered void after said "feedback blackmail" was indicated. Also to add insult to injury, disparaging comments made to us in subsequent emails regarding the USA from Mr Sebastian only further distanced us from any chance of a civil and mutually acceptable compromise. Shame on you Jean-Francois, either your ignorance is the reason you are not thankful to the USA for the fact that for not once, but twice, in the last century you are today speaking French and not German, or else you obviously have no conscience. Our judgment would be the latter. Our only regret here is that we sold you a beautiful all American classic car which you do not deserve and more importantly the car itself certainly deserved a better home. Enough said already. Copies of correspondence available upon request.

Run away !! The car I bought was very far to be as the announce and the pictures. Despite a declaration on honor this company sent to me , saying that everything was good and furthermore , excellent...The car provided (mustang fastback 1969) had a cylinder broken, brakes totally dead with drums to change, a large hole under the driver seat...thus I had to pay 10k more in France to restore the car. i tried to reach out the company several times without any answer...showing this was a real scam. ..so run away if you're not a US resident. Following this comment, the manager called me to negociate the erasure of this negative comment. At the question I asked about the document he sent to me, lying about the real state of the car, his answer :"it's business".... all had been sumarized here ... --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hi, Just a testimony on what happened after having swindled by this company : 2 Years of intensive work to reshaped the "beautiful car" as described by their answer ... and more than 15k spent to change : brakes; suspension; triangle of suspension; the cooling system ; gearbox etc ... the only part that were good were the bodycar and the engine ... And the famous arrangment They are talking about and I refused was 400$ .... an insult. But now it's behind : I still investing in old car, my passion, but now I prefer go through a professional network with a solid reputation of honnesty. And my advice is to avoid jump on an what seems to be a good occasion with nice pictures and nice price ....

To jump to Simons and West Coast Classic side, I am the buyer, who stepped in for the purchase of the bespoken 911 Convertible. Simon told me at that time, that he has a refundable deposit at hand for the vehicle, but is able to sell to me, as the other buyer knew, that the car is still on the market. After an inspection of the car and a test drive, I immediately bought the car, as it was EXACTLY the way it was described online. All documents were at hand, with the last maintenance documented as discussed. A great example of a classic 911. I know, that this experience is very disappointing for Stefan, but it was a timely coincidence and for sure no reason, to discredit WCC or Simon in regards to the quality of their inventory. I encourage Stefan to get in touch with me as I can confirm the line up of this coincidence and the car will be in Germany in spring. Happy new year all !

I needed some recall work done to my car. John Shami made the whole process much easier and smoother than I ever could have imagined. He explained how the process would go regarding the rental and the work that was being done. He set me up with a rental for the day and the the work was done within a couple hours. Picked up my car the same day and was on my way Great experience and I will definitely be back.

Firstly Ed as clearly stated on our website and elsewhere, although we keep normal CA business hours, we are open to the public by appointment only and request confirmation of an appointment prior to arrival to ensure timely service. As I understand it from our management you had no appointment and was therefore not expected. We need to prepare for any potential clients arrival as amongst other things that involves having the inventory on site as we have more than one building storing our cars in the area. Also with regards to your perceived experience with our manager, in general we prefer not to crowd or hard sell our clients as we are confident the cars will sell themselves to knowledgeable buyers and will only engage walk Ins if approached with specifics and finally; regardless of your opinion of our prices we are still experiencing as high sales as ever as evidenced by our rapidly turning inventory throughout the years. We are sorry you had hoped and anticipated a different experience than what you felt you received but trust and hope you will find the attention you are seeking elsewhere.

Dropped by West Coast Classics this week to look at a few cars. Although they advertise being open at 9:30am, nobody was there until 10am. Once the guy arrived, he showed no interest whatsoever in showing me the 3 vehicles I wanted to look at. In fact, he let me walk around the shop while he was busy talking to one of his employees. Never paid any attention to me nor asked if I had any questions. I never felt comfortable that this place would be trustworthy give the sense of arrogance and lack of customer orientation displayed. SoI was ready to purchase but left with my $50k cash and will find another classic dealer that values its customers. All I wanted was another classic to go with my collection. Also, I found their prices to be way too high given the condition and whats available around California. Look elsewhere for your classic!
