Bad attitudes, overpriced merchandise and lame selection. Oh, and do NOT buy a gift card here!! There is no expiration date on them, but they DO expire. Does the money people pay for the gift cards expire? What kind of outrageous, ripoff policy is that? Sorry, kid, no toys for you, that gift card you brought with you is expired! How do you explain that to a child that was excited about getting a stuffed animal or a puzzle?
I am visiting from London and went to Funkey Monkey today with my daughter. The shop has some great toys and gifts. We were definitely spoilt for choice, unfortantly for me the staff ruined my experience. I found the cashier very unhelpful and to be honest racist.

After shopping here for 8 years, we are truly disappointed with the owners and managers of the store and will not be returning. Most business owners have the courtesy to ensure that their staff wear masks to protect their customers during COVID. You would expect that even more so for a store that mainly caters to kids who are not yet eligible for vaccination. Its irresponsible, potentially contributes to community COVID spread, and its beyond disappointing. Its rare these days to walk into a store where employees are not masked. Its also bad for business so its amazing to see Funky Monkey, a small local business that is struggling in the Amazon era to make such a short sighted decision. Prices and assortment are better at Amazon anyway. While we always try to support local businesses and wed love for our kids to have a local toy store well be doing all of our toy shopping at Amazon as we cannot support this level of irresponsible behavior.
