John came to us with an extremely difficult project: Printing a logo on 3" thick briefcases covered in an unknown synthetic material. We finished the job in 13 business days from when we received payment, slightly outside our normal two week turnaround time for less complex projects. We don't rush projects like this because if mistakes are made there is no way to replace the briefcases so we err on the side of caution or dont take the project. I explained this to John at the outset that printing his briefcases would be expensive due to the additional time required for testing how we would apply and cure the ink. Additionally printing a 3 briefcase takes much longer than printing a t-shirt, and we had to unbox the briefcase, let it dry properly, then box it again. Multiple things could happen if we applied the ink incorrectly: Durability issues where the print doesnt last or dye migration where the white ink absorbs the blue dye of the case and becomes light blue ink instead of white. So we tested the print on one briefcase then let it dry and sit for a few days to ensure that durability and migration would not be an issue. In Johns case it took a few tests before we were comfortable with the final product. I think the fact that John complained about everything but the quality of our work is telling. Yes it was expensive. Yes it took slightly longer than expected. But it was a technically difficult project and we completed it correctly. Most shops would not take this job, much less be capable of completing it correctly without ruining the supplied briefcases. John was also not so unhappy at the end of the project since he requested a second quote for printing a few more. However he got sticker shock from the reprint cost and I explained to him that the cost per print would be higher since quantity pricing is predicated on printing everything in the same run since thats where the efficiency is for us.

Worst experience ever!!! Expensive, Slow, and a horrible customer service experience. The owner makes you feel like you are an inconvenience to them. There are many other screen printers in the area. I will be taking my business somewhere else next time, I do NOT recommend Merch Monster to anyone. I doubt these people will be in business for very long anyways.
It is true that many people who do short print runs use DTG machines. DTG is also very good at reproducing full color images, which is how we use our DTG equipment. We are no longer offering short run jobs under 36 pieces at this time.

As someone familiar with the T shirt printing industry to have a minimum of 36 shirts for Direct To Garment printing was beyond my comprehension. Most people seek direct to garment services for one offs and small runs.
We delivered the 13.5k masks we sold Rick, to the locations Rick requested as promised, at the price he was promised, and the masks met the exact specifications that were promised to Rick at the time of sale. Rick inquired about purchasing 13.5k masks and I provided him with exact product specifications and pictures. We do not disclose the manufacturer of masks as we can source them from multiple manufacturers and naming manufacturers can create issues with sourcing or customers can try to go around us and purchase directly. The masks that were delivered matched the exact specifications that were provided to Rick. The website also states that there are no returns refunds or exchanges for any reason. During the sale process no mention was made to me regarding whom the goods would be shipped to and who Rick is selling the goods to is honestly none of my concern. My responsibility is delivering Rick his goods on time as promised. I will say that I assumed it would be an end customer, even though it's irrelevant. We had approx 8k of the masks already in inventory and I used Rick's labels to ship those masks and the rest of the masks were shipped direct from the mill to the customer. The masks had been purchased previously and were sitting in my partner warehouse. The inventory offered for sale was the inventory on my floor, and it did not come with free freight. Rick knew that before the sale occurred that's why he provided me labels. It's not my duty to acquire additional inventory and sit on 8k masks just to save him a few bucks on freight. Whether Rick and I have a common supplier and if Rick could have bought the masks at the same price I did is irrelevant. I have no obligation to disclose to Rick that he can purchase goods cheaper elsewhere during the course of a sale. He asked where the goods were coming from and I told him that the goods are imported from Vietnam or Honduras, which is where the supplier(s) manufacture and import the goods from. That was a true statement. Rick is mad that he bought goods through me that he theoretically could have bought on his own. However it is neither unethical or immoral to sell Rick a product at a higher price than the goods that he can also buy for the same price as us. I am in business and being in business requires buying products for a lower price than you sell them for. That's how we make money.

Really ripped us off. Mike implied they had masks they made in 3 ply from an overseas manufacturer, and that he had about 12K in inventory. I told him I needed to get a fellow distributor's order filled for 10,000 pieces until our order arrived that was being held up. I told him about the pricing that the fellow distributor paid and that I was going to buy his mask to cover those since mine were another week or two out. Mike then turns around and ships mask from a supplier all 3 of us use in their packaging disclosing the real cost of the masks. Additionally, Mike had me send him shipping labels that could not be used with the supplier, who was shipping them free freight. So I paid an additional $250.00+ on shipping when it was a free freight situation. Now our client who could have bought the masks from the same supplier at a much lower price is now livid that he paid more and had to pay freight because Mike was dishonest and did not bother to disclose that it was a free freight situation. Mike even emailed me a 2nd time asking for the shipping labels , then did not get them shipped coming back with an email that they only have a UPS daily pickup. When it had nothing to do with HIS pickup as they were shipped directly from our mutual mill free freight. There are so many things wrong with this. Yeah Mike you made a few thousand bucks on me but you ruined my reputation in the process. It would not have gone to this point had you simply accepted the return of the 10,000 masks that are still in original packaging.
