I really hope this will help another woman in the future. Me and my daughter were referred to Mercy. She came highly recommended for her amazing ability to alter wedding gowns. Not an amazing experience for us. We arrived at her shop and was rudely greeted... well not really greeted at the front. We filled out a paper and were instructed to go into the second room. Please keep in mind we have never been here before. My daughter put her wedding gown on. Mercy came into the room, didnt greet us or introduce herself. Looked at my daughter and said the dress is way too small. *This fact we knew when we purchased, but also was told it could be altered. She continued to body shame her saying what do you want me to do? Perform a miracle or something? She laughs again and states how small and she just doesnt know. She then laughs and says well, we can just maybe have high hopes. My daughter sobbing and shaking after Mercy leaves the room, takes her dress off and wants to leave. Ive never seen her so shattered by comments said. She is a very confident young woman that is a hairstylist with an awesome uplifting personality. She gives other women confidence through her talent. What happened to women uplifting other women instead of tearing down their souls and body shaming. This world is in a mess itself without ripping away a brides most amazing moment. There is NO truth in words cant hurt. I saw that first hand yesterday. We have been reassured at Elegant Bridal that this can be fixed. Maybe the dress but not the mind. Not when you struggle with weight your entire life. I hope this cant prevent another brides self image.

I am quite disappointed in how she handled my first dress fitting experience. She was rude and unprofessional to me. First, no one helped me get into my wedding dress when I got there. When she finally entered the room, my dress was snug on my hips and she had a hard time zipping it. She immediately said it didnt fit and asked me, What have I done?! And why doesnt it fit? She provided no solution in that moment and did not do anything to reassure me that as a professional seamstress, it would be okay. She ultimately told me I couldnt wear my dress. If that didnt make matters worse, she body shamed me and stated MULTIPLE times, that I needed to lose weight, go on a diet and cut the carbs. I spent my ENTIRE appointment in tears because I couldnt believe that she had said those things to me. After body shaming me and continuing to tell me to diet and what I should and shouldnt do in the gym, she FINALLY says that she could see if the dress was able to be let out (which shouldve been said first, without all the unnecessary and unwarranted opinions). Then, She asked me if Im trying to actively lose weight. I told her that I work out, drink nothing but water (after she asks if I drink sweet tea btw) and eat right which has been my lifestyle for years! THEN, she goes, Well I dont want to waste my time letting out the dress and you come back and its too big, thats too much work. I was floored. She did NOT try to comfort me. She showed no interest in truly helping me or having me as a client. No tact was displayed in how she handled me or the things she said. No women wants to be told that they are fat, need to lose weight and go on a diet. ESPECIALLY A BRIDE IN HER WEDDING DRESS!! She absolutely ruined that dress for me. I thank God for Elegant Bridals for fixing her unprofessionalism and helping when she said they wouldnt. I called her following that appointment to tell her how she made me feel and to cancel the next appointment. She took no responsibility for her actions or words! I can only speak on my experience and I choose not to spend my money with someone who made me feel so low and disrespected!

Mercy is a true profession who is committed to satisfy the customer. She adjusted a while beaded gown for me and it was a perfect fit and completed ahead of schedule. I will return soon to have another sequin gown adjusted. Shes the BEST!

She is awesome and a lifesaver her work is superb. My dress could not close at the top after reading the reviews from the manufacturer I realized that iit was a fault with the dress. I called Mercy and she asked me to bring it, she saw it and did her magic. Thank you Mercy!

My son has a problem opposite of mine. He has a small waist, 29-30" and a 29-30" inseam. My waist is 38" and inseam is 30". Mercy takes in pants for him. She works fast and does excellent work for a reasonable price.
