The first time I got braids Jalissa did them and I liked them. I made an appointment to go back and she had to leave by noon, and told me anothet stylist, Amaka would take me. She did decent work so I wasn't totally disappointed. I made another appointment thinking I would be seen by Jalissa but that wasnt the case. Instead of telling me Jalissa's schedule she just kept booking me under her. I'd just go ahead and get my hair done because my schedule is tough; I recently moved to Hagerstown so Its an HR plus drive to the salon and I have a young infant. A couple months ago I wanted conrows with 2 small braids down the middle.. Which she did and it was uneven. The last time I went I was over it. First the style I received wasn't the the style I showed her.. (Picture shown taken from Google search). When I showed her the pic of what I wanted she said my hair is thick and she should be able to do it yet it would be more work for her. I'm not "tender headed" at all so I didnt realize how tight she braided my hair until I looked and saw my edges hanging on for dear life! You could visibly see the tension. I told her I was concerned about the tightness and she had the nerve to say Ive come to her before and I still have my edges. Not long after I left I got bumps and redness just from how tight my hair was braided. Also, there was hair sticking out and the ends were messy and uneven. She had her assistant redo the braids and it just looked a rushed. You could tell where hair was added in the braids.

On April 22, 2022 I walked into Headline Hair salon in Elkridge Md to set an appointment for my senior in high school daughter for prom. When the appointment day and time came April 29th @ 3:30pm my daughter went to the salon only to find out that the young lady that set her appointment said that is was not that day nor time. My child sat there and waited for another stylist to do her hair. She waited for hours 3:30-6:30pm and at 6:45 pm when she arrived home She was leery of the style after the stylist said she didnt know how to do sow in ponytails. The style was a low ponytail. The next morning the ponytail was on the floor omg . We called the salon and had to wait for two hours due to the same stylist that did her hair the previous night to put the ponytail back on my daughters hair. That stylist asked the manager for assistance due to her not knowing how to sew in the ponytail however the manager never assisted her. That was prom day mind you and we had so many errands to run in preparation of the special day. My daughter was so emotionally distraught when the ponytail fell off while she was at prom. What we want is a complete refund. I am a single parent trying to do my best What happened to great customer service? What happened to quality workmanship? Shame.

I was referred there and I came as requested at 2 and sat there for hours!!! Then the person the recommended me came in and she sat her before me I was sitting there with wet hair and didnt get a price deduction for my inconvenience she was only supposed to trim and my hair wasnt trimmed correctly for my type of hair she cut it while my hair was dry and my hair didnt look right at all Im not coming back it was kinda over priced for what I got and what I endured I wish I could give less than 1 star.
