First and foremost I am so sorry for your loss. I take full responsibility as the Executive Director of Art & Creativity for Healing for not having our staff phone you to say that due to low enrollment we needed to cancel the class until October. We relied on email and sending you a refund without making a personal call to you apologizing for this sudden cancelation. I am mortified that we behaved in this inappropriate way. I would like to find a way to make this up to you. Certainly if you give us another chance we would like to offer the October 4-week bereavement session to you and your family members free of charge. Signed my family up for an in-person bereavement course after the sudden loss of my dad. Art4Healing was welcoming over the phone and promised to arrange a workshop specifically for grief. After a few weeks without an update, I called again to confirm that the bereavement course was still on, which they then directed me to sign up and pay online. One month later, we show up to an empty facility with no response. After weeks of lacking communication, Art4Healing didn't even send out a notice that they canceled the course 3 days before the first workshop. If you're emotionally stretched thin already, I do not recommend trying to work with this organization.

Both the workshops and the certificate courses are amazing. I started with a workshop and decided that I wanted to be able to facilitate them because I found them so helpful in processing emotions through art in a very practical and creative way. I took the certification course and now I have this amazing curriculum at my fingertips to help others. I also love the community. The staff is so transparent and genuine. I really feel it is no accident I came upon them!

Lauries program is an incredible resource and opportunity to learn how to offer a valuable service for people in need of processing emotions in an easy, accessible and truly effective way. I not only learned valuable techniques, but did my own processing as well. Her school offers a complete package for starting a business right away. Or starting your own route with new skills. Shes generous, loving and incredibly knowledgeable. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to be in service and loves art. Thank you, Laurie!

Thi is my second on line workshop that I have taken with Art for Healing. I cannot believe how much these workshops have changed me, as a person. I struggle to put my feelings into words-this abstract art method has helped with my journey! I am now able to take my feelings and talk about them! So grateful that I have found Art for Healing!!

This was a fantastic way to spend two hours in the live zoom workshop. I truly enjoyed acrylic painting in an abstract way allowing my mind to connect with emotions and color and put it down on canvas, was really fun. great teachers, great instructions, reasonably priced. highly recommend it to anybody especially if youre a youngster and want to express your feelings without having to be as vulnerable.
