1 star is too many for this business. My friends booked Tie 1 On back in October for my birthday party and we had such a great experience with the bartender. So much so that I got her number to use her again for other parties in the future. Fast forward to July, I'm planning an engagement party and I texted the bartender from my birthday party. She quickly informed me that she was available for the night of our party, but that I needed to book directly through her boss- Sue at Tie 1 On. I texted Sue and informed her that I had reached out to the bartender directly and that I wanted to book her for the night of Friday, July 2nd. She confirmed that the bartender I requested was available and sent me a contract. I signed the contract and paid the deposit. The Wednesday before the party, I texted the bartender again directly to ask her about ingredients for a couple "signature cocktails" to have at the party. She again quickly responded and said that I needed to text Sue about anything to do with the event. So, I texted Sue and she forwarded me a list of things to buy to stock the bar. My party started at 7pm on Friday and no one showed up to bartend. I called Sue's number repeatedly with no answer. I also called the bartender's number repeatedly and when she finally answered, she informed me that she was working at a different event. Excuse me-WHAT?! Also, why couldn't I get the owner of this company, who I had already PAID, to answer my calls? The worst part about this entire experience is that I did everything right and even confirmed with her 2 days before and yet I couldn't even get Sue, the owner, to care enough to even ANSWER MY PHONE CALLS. I wasted an hour of the party in my garage calling, calling and calling. I had even rented an entire bar set up that got completely wasted. Finally, around 9:30pm, Sue texted me and said she was out of the country on vacation and that she would refund me and reach out to me the next week when she returned from vacation. Well, guess what? She sent my money back, but I never heard from her. I was so low on her priority list that a no show and ruined party didn't even warrant a phone call. Sue, next time you leave for vacation, you may want to hire someone that will actually answer the phone while you are away. If I hadn't had the bartenders direct number, I probably would have never heard from you at all. If you've made it through reading this review, I hope you've learned the lesson (that I had to learn the hard way)- DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!
Going forward, please provide actual invoices, receipts, and itemized statements. This would prevent any misunderstandings, miscommunications, and possibly slander/harassment on social media posts/text messages coming from your business, that result in legal charges. Changing your policies going forward is probably best. Please include a statement that your business will in no way threaten, harass, slander, violate ones confidentiality/trust, or falsify information. Such statements are professional points that most business owners take pride in.
Let me start off by saying that the bartenders themselves were a lot of fun and they made sure the guests had a good time. Sue, the owner, will make you never want to have anything to do with them ever again. 1 star is too much for her. We payed our bill in full about a month before our wedding. After our wedding we got another $200 charge because of extra time added. When I asked sue about this she gave two excuses. The first was not being able to find the mother of bride in order to be dismissed (my mother passed away almost ten years ago). The bartenders leave at the agreed upon time so Im not sure why this excuse was used. The second was the party was still going on. Yes, but we chose the times beforehand to let our guests have the opportunity to stop drinking before they headed home. Because I have been going back and forth with her about this charge, she decided to post something on her business Facebook page (looks like she took it down) about how I am ripping her off and she is going to message my friends and family to get them to convince me to pay my bill which is probably the most unprofessional thing I have ever seen. Do NOT do business with them.
