Customer service was great. Financing was good. Brakes were metal on metal a day after we got.it. then the next morning the check engine light came on with a bunch of mis fires and throttle body problems. Let's see how much this is covered under the warranty. Also gas hand keeps going up and down and that is not covered. Neither were the brakes. Just got off the phone with the warranty company. NONE of the issues are covered. So the whole warranty is a waste. Not a happy camper. Currently contacting the bank to advise the vehicle is not road worthy which is a breach of contract. Time to get our money back and look elsewhere.
All I am going to say is if you are coming from out of town make sure you find a local mechanic to take your future purchase to before you buy it. We tried to take it to ours in carthage and were told we couldn't and received no recommendations of someone we could take it to. Arkansas doesn't require inspections by lots before vehicles are sold. If they did, we would have known the front end needed about 3000 dollars worth of work done to it on top of the 3300 we put down on the truck only to have it break down 40 miles after we left the lot causing my husband and 2 daughters to almost get in an accident. Also costing another 150 for a tow truck. Luckily the warranty paid for 1000 of that. Customer service is great til you sign paperwork. Then all of a sudden when ball joints are the only thing you want help covering, thats a "general maintenance thing" and they "do check their vehicles". If they did they would know that the vehicle never should have been on the road according to the Ford mechanic and the ball joints were rusted out. Just writing this so someone else doesn't make the same mistake we did and so people are aware of unsafe vehicles being sold.
I purchased my 2013 Jeep Patriot from CarTime in August of 2021. It was 4WD, GREAT interior condition, sunroof, the whole package. Everything I had looked for in a car! I was by myself at the time of purchase, however, I knew to FaceTime my dad and get as much information about the vehicle as I could before purchasing. 3 days after the day of purchase, I was pulled over and told the 60-day temp tags I had from the dealership did not show as current in the system and if the officer didnt know me personally, he wouldve assumed it was a stolen vehicle with a temp tag just printed off of a Google doc. I called the dealership and they said thats normal, which has not been the same answer Ive gotten from anybody else. 2 weeks after the day of purchase, the taillights and headlights went out as a result of improper wiring. I had to pay $ out of my own pocket to fix something that shouldve been working prior to me purchasing considering the wiring was never anything mentioned to me when purchasing as-is. In March of 2022, I had hit a deer. It was an estimated $2,300 worth of body work repair, which was not a problem at all. Insurance was going to cover it completely and all was well until the body work shop got into the vehicle. Upon inspection, they STOPPED estimating it at approximately $13,000 worth of damage to the vehicle including a previously totaled frame that had been cut and re-welded back together very poorly. There was also a large amount of water corrosion found in the motor, and the rust on the frame itself was so progressed that you could run your hand along the front and it would just crumple. The repair shop I had taken it to informed me that even if I were willing to pay the minimum of $13,000 out of pocket, theyd not be comfortable with me driving the vehicle with the condition of the frame. Had I ever been in a head on collision, the whole front end of the car wouldve went into my lap. I contacted plenty of legal services, as well as attorneys who all concluded that this was a very misleading sell. I contacted the dealership immediately to inform them of the issues with the vehicle and that if nothing is done considering warranty couldnt help at all, that Id be seeking legal action. The only answer I got was not even an apology, but a thats what you get when you buy a vehicle. I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau, as well as the Arkansas State Attorney. Poor transparency. Poor customer service. Poor vehicles being sold. PLEASE be aware when purchasing a vehicle from this dealership.
