They have the worst customer service ever! I wish I had never gotten these panels, truly not worth the headache. I called in 2 weeks ago to Pay for the panels to be removed from my house, so that could get my roof redone and fix my leaks . Vivint Solar definitely had no problem taking my payment, but has yet to give me a schedule of the removal of the panels. Since that time I've called several times only to be put on hold for atleast 30 mins each time, to only get to speak to no one. I've emailed the customer with a complaint and no response. So I advised to stay far away from this company!!!!

We bought a house with solar panels from Vivint already installed. The panels are producing half the power they produced last year based on their numbers and they have already come out to fix it once. You dont save any money, so if thats your plan dont waste your time...

If I could leave this company negative stars I would. We had our solar panels installed in May of 2019. They worked for the first two and a half months until the middle of August 2019. At this time the system stopped reporting to BGE (our utility company). Now fast forward to November 2020. Ive spent actual days at this point on the phone with Vivint trying to get this issue fixed. Every call a new employee, every time empty promises, every time blaming BGE. I finally was able to schedule a tech to come out and look at the system. He fixed it and said it was an issue with the inverter. Since then the system has been working. However, I made a claim to get reimbursed the money the company owes me (roughly $2,000 at this point) since the solar was not being deducted from our utility bill as promised. However after several weeks of no communication, Ive been told my claim for compensation was declined. Because of an error. That this company caused. Im a patient man. Im out of patience. Im turning my panels off, Im not paying another cent. Im reporting this company to both the better business bureau and BGE, and rest assured I will be getting my county and state representatives involved as well. I will be updating this review every single day until my problem is resolved and I hope this shows all potential future customers what a terrible company this is. I work in retail and this is a completely unacceptable and terrible way to run a business. Youll notice that they havent even left a response to this review with any sort of help. Do not do business with these con artists. Update: 2/3/21 I spoke with a nice gentlemen named Ian who assured me that he would forward my situation up to his manager, Lisette Romo who would then be able to escalate the issue on both Vivint and Sun Runs side. As far as I can tell, this hasnt been done as I have still received no communication. Update: 2/4/21 spoke with a woman. Didnt catch her name. She assured me the issue had been escalated by Lisette. I still have received no proof that it has. She then forwarded me to a customer care number that hung up on me after five minutes of being on hold. I then called BGE only to get bounced around a few departments. Eventually, I received the phone number of Chris Hogue, supposedly Vivints local operations manager. Left him a message regarding my issue and I still have not received a response. As of writing this update Ive spent a total of five hours on the phone today alone trying to get any sort of answer to my problem. Update: 3/31/21 Ive received several copy and paste emails from their customer service department informing me that there is no way to cancel the contract and that I am locked in for twenty years. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE Update: 8/31/21 The saga continues. I shut my panels off after receiving such terrible customer service from this company. They sent a technician to my home unannounced to turn it back on. Luckily we were home to tell him the situation and to stop him from doing so. His name was Wayne and he was quite nice. He said he will forward our situation up to his superiors. I suppose we will see if this is yet another empty promise from this terrible company.
