I have been here two months and every negative review is spot on. Noisy, homeless everywhere, two fights outside so far, unresponsive staff, and parking is $150 a month (unless you want to pay less but that requires you to move your car frequently to avoid a ticket). While they have some inside units facing a nice courtyard-like area, your other choices include facing the train, Broadway street, or watching homeless return recyclables. I knew getting a place facing the Broadway street would be noisy but that's not even the problem. Every step from the tenants above me sounds like it is being amplified--the mock wood floors must just pass the noise right down to me. It sounds like stomping and I can actually feel the vibrations. I don't fault the tenants--they are just walking. It's cheap construction. If I can find a way out of my lease, I will...

If youre thinking about giving your 1500 dollars a month to grant park village in turn of a favorable living experience- think again! Let's start at the beginning, concisely. We had sunshine the property manager she was amazing and made our living experience great for about six months. In spite of the insanely loud train because you're right on them and how dark the apartments are we liked living here. Then we got a notice that they would begin building a new building right outside. So a train, a view the highway AND construction no thank you, we transferred apartments and signed another year lease- and here we are. Two apartment managers later and we have kari Sabah who is great, she answers emails timely, she's fair and worst owner that I've ever experienced. For one, you can park your car in the $150 lot, but just one of them. Don't park your car on the street they'll tow it, new seasons? Sure! But only between 6 pm and 10 am for 50 dollars a month, break the rules and the owner will fine you 80 dollars every time! Now onto the safety. Every building is secured except building two. The homeless run rampant in Portland grant park village is where they flock to. They shoot heroin and smoke in our stairwell and leave syringes behind as a token gift as to part of grant park villages luxury living experience. So if you don't mind a train outside your window and I mean right outside, $1600 dark apartments with NO overhead lighting, a direct and quite noise view of 84, homeless people living in your stairwell, syringes and blood in the carpet, and the cherry on top no where to park your car...grant village is the place to be! (Don't get me started on the frequency of the shrieking fire alarms either) And guess what if I could afford my 2200$ lease break fee I would do it in a heartbeat unfortunately after 18 months of "gpv" I will run out of here as quickly as I can when my lease is up! And management If you're reading this I've already forwarded a copy to the corporate office and I hope your jerk of an owner gets a glimpse too!

I love living here! I moved in over a year ago and all of my experiences have been positive. The entire leasing staff and office staff are very friendly. They each stop whatever theyre doing whenever I have questions or concerns, and theyre all eager to help resolve problems. The property manager is on the ball, readily accessible, and very prompt to respond - and addresses issues in a very timely manner. Maintenance guys are highly skilled and quick to respond. Mike has been here during the construction of my building and he seems to know this place inside and out. Each of my problems were addressed either the same day or within 24 hours. Ive never heard of a maintenance crew this responsive. The cleaning crew is exceptionally meticulous. They clean this place so thoroughly that it still looks like a brand new building. I really value the strong sense of community here. The leasing manager arranges social events every month which gives us many opportunities to meet our neighbors and feel connected. Im so glad that I moved in before reading so many old, negative reviews. Too bad poor reviews dont drop off after problems are resolved. This truly is a great place to live! *I just signed a long term lease because living here has far exceeded my expectations and I want to secure my space here for as long as I am able.

Would have loved to have rented here, but someone beat us to the punch in applying. I totally understand first come first serve, but how can you take an application fee for an apartment that isn't available. Luckily I found a better apartment for less money downtown.
