A mix of good and bad, resulting in 3 stars. The positives: The resort is best for families with kids, from infants to teens. The pool, tennis courts, pickle ball courts and Mission Bay beach were excellent. The beach is completely sheltered from ocean waves, which makes it safer for small kids. The Dockside Restaurant, Airstream food trailer and poolside bar were all fine, but expensive. The staff were friendly and efficient. Wifi was fast, when it worked - however frequent logins, with conflicting instructions, were required on all our devices. Some negatives: The carpet in the hallway leading to our room was not vacuumed during the six days of our stay. We saw the same recognizable bits of food and trash, day after day, in the same places. The screen door leading to our balcony was missing, and the glass door track was poorly maintained, making the door very difficult to open. This greatly reduced out enjoyment of the balcony, and caused us to run the air conditioner much more than otherwise. The bathroom exhaust fan was broken - the switch had been removed and replaced with a blank cover. So the bathroom was musty and humid. The furniture in the room was decent quality but dated, and the TV controls and channel choices were not up to modern standards.
Positive: the room was nice, and good location for walking to the water. Negative: The staff in parking lot made fun of the way we pronounced the hotel, and our name. We had to wait an hour and half for room. A wedding kept us up with constant loud music and boom till midnight. the reimbursement has yet to be seen they promised.

I gave the hotel 3 stars for the following. Super location surrounded by water in a great part of Mission Bay. Front desk pleasant. The APP is nice when asking for additional items. The hotel itself is in very bad shape. I posted some photos. We were in the newer towers with outdated, stained carpeting. Single pane sliders with no screens. Ants in the room. The elevator didnt go to floor 1 when you pressed the button. I also asked for a quiet room. This was grand central station with all the loading of linens, supplies, and other deliveries. When I complained I was told it was noise outside of the facility. This is definitely NOT worthy of a 4.2 aggregate Google review. This place could be incredible if management didnt let it get run down.
