A lot of these reviews are from before anyone moved in, but I lived at Point North during the fall semester. The building is brand new, but there are many issues with management. Pros: - it is super close to the ETC - the apartments are new, so we didn't have a ton of issues with maintenance - they have decent amenities (gym, study lounge, and outdoor area) - in-unit washer/dryer is convenient Cons: - there is no leasing office or front desk with a management point of contact. When I signed, I was under the impression that we would be able to contact the leasing manager, Rowan, with any questions or issues. However, she never answers her phone or texts. I have tried contacting her about lost packages, getting locked out of my room, and accidentally getting charged extra fees, but she rarely responds to texts/phone calls. The only way to get in contact with anyone after you sign is to call, and say it's an "emergency." - again with the management, they were misleading when I toured. During my tour, I indicated I wanted a room with a window, and specifically chose a unit with a window room available. When I signed, I thought I was signing for a window room, but when I moved in, my room did not have a window. If you plan to sign a lease, please clarify exactly what room you're getting because they will screw you over. - the mail system is not secure. UPS, FedEX, and Amazon just get dropped off at the front, so anyone can pick up your package. USPS packages are held by management and are supposed to be delivered Mondays and Fridays, but half the time they don't even that. I've had to wait like a week between a package being delivered at the apartment complex and me actually receiving the package. They also won't pick up the phone if you call them to ask if they delivered mail. At most student living apartments, you can just go down to the front desk/mail room to get your packages, but the system here is so inefficient. - Although the amenities are nice, I don't think it is worth the cost. I lived in a private room in a 5x5 with no windows and my total cost each month (rent+fees+utilities) came out to about $1300. The other apartments on 30th street aren't as fancy, but you can definitely get a much better rate. The management also gives me sketchy vibes because I think some of the "5-star reviews" are actually fake reviews. For example, "Lyndsay Hanes" is like the president of metric property management which owns Point North?? That just seems weird to me. If they are able to get a more reliable point of contact, this place would be better. I probably would not live here again.
