Florie and her assistant were instantly extremely unpleasant and unprofessional towards me as soon as I walked in the door that Im wondering if they have some discrimination issues. I usually receive quality customer service everywhere I go and definitely expect refinement from people who work in the area so I was really shocked by their lack of all these attributes towards me. I went there as a referral for alterations from my sales representative at Bottega Veneta. I had purchased a pair of trousers that had been taken up too short by another tailor (an easy fix) but I also needed the waist taken in. Florie barely even looked at my brand new Bottega trousers before deciding that she could not work on them. Im willing to accept that she could not do the work (although the fixes were easy for any skilled tailor) however the rudeness and unprofessional attitude was appalling. Oh well ... shes just a seamstress... who cares, but I definitely think this its important to let people know when business like feel they can discriminate and judge people. I will also let Bottega know as I buy so much from there and they referred me.

I came to Flora 3 months before my wedding with a wedding dress that fit me 2-4 sizes larger than my actual size. The expression on her face when I tried it on looked like this was going to be a lengthy, tedious, and difficult project. I am eternally grateful for Flora and her beautiful gift. She is skilled, talented and knows her craft very, very well. Please believe me. I received so many compliments on my wedding dress. People said it fit like a glove and complemented my body shape. Also, Flora is an absolute pleasure to work with. She is so warm and such a sweet person also. Thank you Flora for making all my dreams come true!

I first came to Flora four years ago after some disappointing alterations with other tailors in the area. I immediately noticed her commitment to learning my preferences for how I like my clothes to fit. She enters each project with an open eye and works magic on even complicated pieces most other tailors wouldn't touch. Over the years, she has tailored my jackets, shirts, pants, polos, and sweaters, and I will not trust anyone else in LA with my alterations. Her work is consistently excellent and worth the price. I should note as well that I have directed friends to use her services for dresses and women's clothing, and the work has been extraordinary. Finding a good tailor is like finding a good barber/stylist. The best ones innately recognize your taste and leave you feeling taken care of and understood. Flora and her team are among the best, and I will not be using anyone else.
