We had a very great time paddling the Waldo Lake this weekend with Paddle People.us. The water was amazingly blue and clear, we could see the drift wood on the bottom of the lake and the small Canoe waves made cool designs, better than Picasso. Never saw such divine mix of colors. At the end of each escapade on the water we had great meals. We stopped on the island on the lake and we took a refreshing swim in the lake. It was truly great, I would love to take another trip with Jeff Catlin and Russ Clark - the founders of Paddle People.us I love Paddle People.us

We just bought a used Wenonah Escape from Paddle People. Were thrilled with the canoe, and Jeff made the whole process easy and fun. I just cant imagine youd get anything near this level of service from a retail store. Before we met him to see the canoe, Jeff answered all our many questions and sent pictures. His enthusiasm for canoes and canoeing came across even in his text messages. When we met him at his house to see the canoe, he spent a lot of time showing us exactly how to lift it and tie it down to our roof racks safely, using the PaddlePeople system. This is another reason to go with them, by the way: they have a tie-down kit thats dialed in so you never have to tie a knot, and the whole process is amazingly fast. He also helped us pick out some reasonably priced PFDs and paddles. Then it was off to what he calls Clackamas Pond for a quick demo paddle. He let us do everything ourselves, answering questions when necessary but not breathing down our necks. Weve had some paddling experience, but he gave us a few reminders. We never felt talked down to or pressured. The tags were still on the PFDs, and he really made us feel we could have taken time to think about it, or just walked away. But were so glad we went for it. Weve been on one paddle since then and now feel like old hands at taking it off the car and putting in. Thanks, Jeff, for a great experience. See you on the water!

Jeff was great to work with! He patiently answered all my question to help find the right canoe for me. It is also pretty great to get a canoe delivered to your front door! He also made sure I had everything I needed to secure the boat to the top of my car. Paddle People is my go to place for top quality canoes!

I'm so happy with the Wenonah Escapade I got from Paddle People. Everything they recommended was spot on. I love how warm and solid wood gunwales feel. Also, having the factory installed middle seat on my Escapade is the perfect place for me to paddle solo, or when I'm paddling with my two young kids. I also like the Kevlar construction - no more throwing out my back when lifting the canoe!!!
