Ordered parts 3 weeks ago. Told three days later that the parts were out for powder coating. After 11 days, I was told again the parts were out for powder coating. Now, 3 weeks later, I am told the parts are still being manufactured. Maybe it would be a good idea to make the parts before selling them.
Will never do business with this company again; wish I could leave ZERO stars. I placed an order on July 31st, with the expectation set from their website, that parts could take up to 3 weeks. 3.5 weeks later I received 1 part of my order. I contacted them to ask about the rest of the order, and at this time (August 25th) I was told it could take 10-12 weeks from the time i ordered. Disappointed, i requested that the rest of the parts be shipped in one shipment, and Mike V agreed to do that. On october 2nd, i asked for an update because I received ZERO communication from them. Oct 12, i was told i wohld receive another tracking number that week. Oct 21, after I initiated another email saying I hadn't seen any new parts, i was told i would see it before the end of the week. Little did I know, I again received only part of my order. After asking what happened to the rest, i was told i would get 2 more shipments (still not in compliance with my request to receive 1 order) and that they would "ship out in November". Yup an entire month long time frame. November 20th (16 weeks from order, 4 weeks after longest guess from them) I asked when i might receive my order. I was then told 10-15 business days. After 15 business days, and on December 13th (19 weeks after placing my order) i requested a refund. Mike V refused to refund my money and all of sudden the parts were ready. Writing this now, I still have not received my parts (though I did finally get a tracking number). On top of the worst communication, and missing 4 deadlines, the packages i did receive looked like they spent 12 seconds packaging. One of my leaf springs was sticking out of the box when it arrived because it contained ZERO bubble wrap, paper, or any kind of protection other than the box itself. If i get all of the components on Friday, it will have taken 20 weeks to receive an order that according to their website could have been built in under 2 weeks. I have never received this poor of customer service for anything.
Ive ordered a few things from these guys and I will continue to. I had a few things that took a while but that wasnt on them they have to deal with the same stuff everyone else does. They have good pricing and great customer service! The only reason I was able to be so patient waiting for my parts was because they are very transparent. They always let me know where my stuff was and approximate times. I like how professional they are and Ive been happy with everything Ive ordered so far!
I recently ordered a Nismo intake from 4x4 Parts. After paying what feels like an absurd $30-40 for shipping, the intake finally arrived a week and a half later. I opened the box and pulled out main intake tube. It was individually wrapped in bubble wrap. After removing the bubble wrap, I discovered that the tube had been gouged and scratched as wide as a credit card. I took pictures and put the tube back in the box. I called 4x4 Parts and explained the situation. They requested pictures, which I sent. After going back and forth with them for almost two weeks, they gave me three options. 1: Reimburse me for a small portion of the price. 2: Follow the claim process with UPS and try to write it off as damaged in shipping (it wasn't) 3: Return the item for a refund (I have to pay shipping) Dealing with them has been nothing short of obnoxious. I was shipped a damaged item (probably sent that way from Nissan). Instead of taking responsibility and fixing the issue, they have tried to push the blame on everyone else. I will not pay another $40 to ship back a damaged item for a refund. I will not try to push the blame on UPS for something that isn't their fault. The box and bubble wrap were completely undamaged. I simply want what I paid for. A non-damaged intake. I will NEVER order from these people again. - High shipping charges - Mediocre customer service
