Extremely disrespectful people. Tell me they are running 20 minutes late for my appointment then tell me to reschedule when I am 10 minutes late after taking a 25$ uber to their location who took a wrong turn.
I told Kevin Kellett that I wanted to keep the top part the same length which I have been trying to grow out for the past 2.5 months and he just cut it an inch shorter! He also kept spinning my chair so I could not see how much shorter he was cutting it. Overall, for a haircut I hated, I had to pay 90 Dollars.
This is a great location with friendly staff and a well decorated aesthetic/atmosphere. The person that I worked with was professional, courteous, and knew what they were doing. However, they did not listen to me. This was my first appointment here, I recently relocated and like to have a solid relationship with my stylist - I typically visit every two weeks. When I sat down I said that I liked the length of my hair, please do not make it shorter. I also said that I prefer it to be asymmetrical (the stylist said 'symmetrical is better and more classic' - I did not ask for a classic look) and that I have thick hair. I asked for weight/bulk to be pulled out of my hair and to maintain the length. The fade was done perfectly, the cut was done extremely well - but again is not what I asked for. At the end I was told that more volume was added - the opposite of what I asked for. My hair is thick and has a lot of volume already which is why I asked for weight to be pulled out of it. In addition the length was cut substantially. When I started styling it when I got home my length is about 1.5 inches shorter. Now I have what has happened when I see a professional that doesn't listen - a great haircut that does not fit my hair type. My best results have been with stylists that work with me to create something together. While a professional opinion is valued, as a first time client, I know my hair - you just met it. Perhaps I am wrong and when this grows out a bit it will be perfect, however this haircut is just a much better executed version of the same haircuts stylists who haven't listen to me give me. Props to the stylists' talent and craft, not what I needed though.
It really pains me to do this because i've prolly written 2 bad reviews total in my entire 28 years of life, but i feel an obligation to do so. Not only was this easily one of the worst haircuts i've ever received, it was the most expensive i've ever received at 100$. The price is almost scam worthy. I've gotten 40$ haircuts that actually looked good with extra stuff like a hot towel and massage...none of that is here...and as long as the haircut is good those things aren't necessary, but i couldn't find the value ANYWHERE at this place. Ms. Lovato had plenty of hair to work with and my reference picture of what i wanted it to look like was a literal picture of my hair from before..so its not like i was asking for a haircut that my hair couldn't do. The real travesty is all the actual talented hair stylists who don't realize they can charge double as long as they are working from a place with dim lighting and "vibes"...
