I do not recommend this place. I had extremely grown out highlights and was in desperate need of a haircut. I picked this place because of it's excellent reviews and trusted Jeanette because of our similar hairtypes. She is really sweet, but she hacked my hair. I left the salon with my hair still wet, so I didn't notice how poorly cut it was. When I got home to re-wash my hair and style it to my preference I noticed that the layers are not gradual and for some reason the top-back of my head has the shortest hair? It looks like the back of my head has bangs! My friends and family told me my hair looks terrible and that "it looks like someone cut random parts of your hair off with a boxcutter." Typically, it is easy to hide inconsistencies with curly hair, but this cut is so bad that not even my curls can save me. As you can imagine, it was way worse when I straightened it. I tried to give it a chance or to at least hide it, but it is too hacked for that so I will have to unfortunately wait for it to grow out. I don't even want to leave the house. Heed my warning and save yourself from embarassment.

I have unfortunately just recently been made aware of this situation and am truly sorry to hear that you are unhappy with you hair service. This is highly unusual that Mallory would have someone unhappy with her work. I have spoken with Mallory and she did inform me that you said, you liked your hair when you left. With that said, she offered for you to come back in for her to look at what you have concerns with and make changes to them or to refund your money. I encourage you to please come back in to let her make you happy. She to feels bad that you are unhappy and believes she can make you happy with your service given the opportunity. We hope you will given this some consideration. It is not our policy to give refunds without being given the opportunity to see or make changes to the hair service.

AVOID this hair salon ladies!!! I thought based on the good reviews That I had read that I could trust one of these ladies with my hair.WRONG! I was extremely wrong. MALORY is her name AVOID this woman! She did my hair I started with a solid dark brown color and I went in asking her to gradually turn me into an ash blonde because even I know dark brown to blonde doesnt happen with 1 visit. So I expected her to be a normal stylist and bleach my entire hair and tone it to something decent. But she decides to take me in for all my money and go about this a different route.She tells me that she rather do highlights all over my hair to start off with then gradually go blonde. And I being a naive woman who is not a professional hair stylist trusted her with my HAIR AND MY MONEY.(being as shes supposed to be the professional here) So I let her do highlights. On the next visit she tells me that shes going to do more highlights to get me to a solid blonde. However she left me with ash tones warm tones,ORANGE PATCHES extremely brassy.and on top of that she didnt even do my roots! My roots were left with blotches of Black all throughout sections of my hair. My final result leaving her salon was EXTREMELY unprofessional. Orange brass, golden blonde, ash blonde black patches and streaks! I asked her about a refund and she said NO! I obviously wanted my money back because I no longer trust her with my hair! Oh and lets not forget she BURNED off the sides of my hair!!! They are now SHORTER than a bobs length!!! Avoid this salon!!! And avoid this woman!! Thanks to her I now have to take my maternity pictures with an orange head and tacky hair! She didnt even fix the mess she left me with!!! I will definitely be telling everyone about this terrible experience I also have the pictures so I will definitely be warning people about her and showing them my hair pictures! Ill be glad to display these terrible results/pictures to anyone that asks me as long as it potentially saves someones hair! & money! She is also a liar I specifically asked her for a refund and she denied me becareful with this woman ladies she will lie to you to get your MONEY and then she will go the owner to KEEP her JOB! I posted the screenshots of her response ! Yet she tells the owner a different story! Very unprofessional i will make sure people in San Diego know to Avoid her and this salon or at least until shes laid off!

Vivian was amazing! I went for a haircut after 6 months and was looking for a lot of layers. She did an amazing job. Was really patient and put in lot of efforts as well. Would recommend her to anyone looking for a good haircut.

I was going to a family reunion for the 4th of July and wanted to look nice when I went. I got my hair done at Shearology Salon the day before I went and got rave reviews from my family members. They asked me where I got my hair done and I must have said Shearology Salon a half a dozen times when I was there. They are probably going to get some business from me because of it. Great staff, did a wonderful job of taming my hair.

Went for a wash and flatiron lured by the words ethnic salon on their website. I would have saved myself the drive from north county and the money wasted because my hair looked worse leaving than it did when I walked in. If you have natural hair and are looking for someone specializing in ethnic hair this is not the place to go.
