I can relate with the other 1 star review. Can't even get past the phone call as the owner is extremely rude. Called to ask about rates and turnaround time to have him hang up twice on me.

Did not get to experience the work because I could not get past the rude phone call. Here from out of town, and called to ask about cost for altering an item. Reply was rude, admonishing, "I don't know what kind of dress it is!" While that is so true, the tone was nasty and harsh.

My husband was on a business trip in Boston with a nice suit which didn't fit anymore and quickly needed a replacement. The very experienced and friendly Carmine not only found a perfect fit but he also adjusted the older suit overnight. Nice craftsmanship and very reasonable prices. Highly recommended!

When it comes to alterations, Sordillo is awesome; superior service and a keen eye for details. People entrust him with $$$$ suits, so do I [though mine aren't nearly that expensive]. Adjusting sleeves with functional button holes? No problem. Adding functional button holes to your suit? No problem. Tight deadline? No problem. I've yet to commission a custom-made suit, but when I do, I'm going to him. There's a vast selection of fabrics, including Loro Piana. The new location is on ground-level as opposed to his basement location on Boylston St.
