I have been to Avenue Hair a few times over the last few years and did not have a bad experience until I met the owner. While he was giving me a haircut (circa October 2020, before the late fall/winter resurgence of COVID), he was trying to engage me in a conversation about the epidemic with some very ignorant talking points. This was easily the most uncomfortable I have felt with a hair stylist. A few weeks later my wife re-shared a meme about COVID on her Instagram. Avenue Hair was following her on IG, and made another ignorant comment about COVID, exactly like the owner had a few weeks prior with me. I am incredibly sympathetic to small business owners during this pandemic. However, the owner of Avenue Hair has misdirected his anger to those who want to limit the spread of the virus. He should be upset about the lack of stimulus from the government to keep his business open, and should be trying to keep not only himself, but his employees and customers safe. Needless to say, we will not be giving him any more of our business.
If you go in don't have linda cut your hair. I went in asking for a small trim of 1 inch or less and walked out with about 4 inches of hair cut off. Very VERY dissapointed as I have been growing out my hair for 4 years for cancer, and now I am back to square one.
Charged me $43 for a haircut that's well over the price on their website. Will never go back!
