Horrendous Thanksgiving Buffet Experience. These were the lowlights: 1. Our reservation was botched - we reserved for 12 people but when we arrived, Forsgate only had us for 6 people. The staff literally would not seat us but after we complained vociferously, one of the accountants was called down to the dining area. She verified she had spoken with my wife and that we were correct - we should have been a party of 12. 2. Staff then arranged two tables together that formed a large square; we were so far apart on the perimeter of the square that we gave up on talking to each other. 3. We paid $62 a plate and Forsgate ran out of (a) turkey (I didn't get to eat any) (b) brownies (my nephew didn't get to eat any) (c) one of the pies (I forget which one) We are not going to this buffet ever again - this is two years in a row that they ran out of turkey. The quality keeps going down, but the price keeps going up. The Olde Mill Inn in Basking Ridge has a Thanksgiving buffet that we have gone to in the past - the food tasted better and they didn't run out of turkey on Thanksgiving.
