McBride Homes has been building quality homes for 75 years and our display homes are no exception. These homes come with beautifully upgraded selections when purchased by a homeowner. Our display homes go through the same warranty walkthrough process as our to be built and market homes. The builder and project manager complete these walkthroughs and have the necessary repairs made. Because these homes are typically older than 1 year when they are sold, the Builders Limited Warranty has expired, but the remainder of the 2 year mechanical systems and 10 year structural warranties are provided with the home where applicable.

Update: the world class customer service indeed reached me to reiterate the display home is sold as is. My advice to you is to stay away from display home by McBride!!! We bought a display home in an upscale development community. Here is our true experience after one year of ownership. And most of the issues were discovered within first few months and McBride did not offer any helpful solution how to resolve. Our advice to you is that stay away from display home by McBride Homes McBride homes no longer own any own contractor teams. They now focus on designing, development and marketing rather than building quality homes. The quality of the house is at the mercy of the project manager whoever oversees the construction process. For display home, they sell it under as is. Therefore, the project manager really does not give as much of attention to it. Unlike a newly building house, Mcbrides display home will not have one year warranty, which means any issues will become the owners issue. Because display home from McBride is sold as is, they can get away even doing a lousy job on the display home. Here are the issues we had: 1. Leaking kitchen sink: it was not installed properly. Sink was not sealed to the granite countertop properly 2. Crack in granite countertop joint: they did not glue two pieces properly. 3. Unleveled dishwasher installation: basket will keep sliding out on its own 4. Squeaky floor: subfloor was not nailed down properly to the floor joist. Too many nails missed joist. Floor is squeaky everywhere. 5. Opening on the wall for the oven was cut too big, very poor craftsmanship 6. Cracks on the drywall joint points and many places did not fill and sand properly: very poor craftsmanship 7. Damaged irrigation system: we bought in Feb and we could not test the system. As soon as we turned on the system, we had to pay for expensive repair bill. 8. Shower room wall was installed poorly. Some area of the wall is bulging out to a point that the wall is not level. We cannot even install a shower down because of the bulging wall. 9. Railing spindles were installed with some silicon. Many of them are loose. 10. Significant presence of construction rocks in the lawn. They just did not put in enough top soil before they put in sod. Due to insufficient top soil, significant part of lawn died despite of sufficient water/irrigation. 11. Vent cover on external wall used very cheap plastic and it warped due to improper installation. Wasps were able to enter the house through that gap.

We had our walkthrough before closing today with Derek Kemp and we couldnt be more pleased with how our home has turned out. The attention to detail by Derek and his teams is exceptional. He was very thorough with every detail of the home and took all the time we needed to answer all of our questions. Logan Kay is an asset to McBride Homes and we could not be more pleased with the entire process. We look forward to many wonderful years in our McBride home.

Finally got to the finish line 3 days ago. Excellent job by the Mcbride team. I particularly appreciate the regular updates and feedbacks. Even when there seem to be hitches, that communication ensures transparency and that seems to forestall misunderstanding. Overall Id say McBride did well (so far). I must especially mention Derek Kemp who went above and beyond from the walkthrough to after support. McBride gets 4 stars, Derek gets 5 stars.

This builder is the cheapest, most unprofessional company. I have had multiple issues. My back yard was not meeting slope, the city had to send the company multiple messages to fix the slope. Then when McBride finally brought one truck load of fill dirt to fix the slope. However this still did not fix the slope and still does not meet code. I will tell you this was McBrides chance and opportunity to shine and do the right thing. They failed without question. No retaining wall, no nothing. The dirt and SOD that was put down is sliding and not holding. I would not recommend this company, youll get a house but itll be the cheapest way possible to build. NO PRIDE MCBRIDE is the nickname they have in our community.
