Although I'm heading back shortly to Asia for some other client work and will be in another 5-6 cities and a few countries, it will be nothing compared to the culture/language/local network hopping we did researching the best market entry strategy for your very unique and high end product. Lift SME helped us analyze the opportunity for launching a brand new product in Asia (mainly China, HK, Singapore) in a category Dave had no previous knowledge of. From the outset Dave was highly engaging, helping us define what success would look like. He surveyed multiple cities in 5 countries, tracked down and spoke with over 50 experts in the industry (at all hours of the night), and communicated very well his discoveries at all points in the process. He constantly bounced his theories and assumptions off of us (the experts) and is good at discerning trends that are not clear or obvious. At times, he seemed more driven to succeed than I was! The results of his market research caused us to shift our focus (pivot) and we are seeing success as a result.

I wish all company executive teams had both y'alls radical growth challenges + teachable humility (to invite someone from even outside your industry to facilitate). We often get calls from people at all different stages of their business whom we redirect to other resources -- for example, last month we spoke with someone who wanted to buy some land to expand their business and needed a business plan for the bank loan, another whose 4 brands are sold in major retailers and is now struggling with B2C online but already has 2 full-time in-house digital marketing people , an independent itinerant speaker who wanted to grow an online faith-based audience, and a local business that has passed its one year mark and is not quite breaking even. As I shared, we do not pass on these requests because we do not want more business; we do so simply because we believe in the Golden Rule and are committed to win-wins.
