Your comments are actually not correct. Memberships are FREE to Active Duty service members, Veterans, First Responders. Once someone joins, they can visit an affiliated facility and you can sell them your services and build a customer base, as we have done here in Las Vegas. We ask affiliates to offer their services to our members for less than the "public." We do not tell you how much to charge. Here in Las Vegas, we create programs that you are welcome to use and follow, or adapt. We certainly don't expect you to offer $5 Fridays or participate in Operation Free Ride, but these promotions are a great way to get members to your facility. Donations that are made to Horses4Heroes are either unrestricted funds, or designated to a program or affiliate. We have transferred thousands of donated dollars to affiliates, funds that were earmarked to a specific facility. We transfer 100% of the donated dollars. We also do not charge affiliates to maintain their membership. What we can do is distribute to you a list of members in your area. Membership fees (even though most are free members), go toward our monthly web site maintenance fee, FB ads to drive traffic to our affiliates and create awareness for our programs, bookkeeping and accounting, insurance, and support for national events around the country. We do not have a paid staff. Our paid team members work for the equestrian center, supporting riding lessons, camps, and free health and wellness workshops. We are the ONLY national equine non-profit that OWNS and CARES for its own horses. Here at our 2.5-acre HQ and flagship facility, we provide low-cost, affordable programs to not only generate income to sustain operations, but to show our affiliates how it's done! If you want to know how to create programs that build loyal customers, that will help generate donations to your facility, we'd love to help. Here at our HQ facility, we are able to generate 70% of our fixed monthly costs through lessons, camps, birthday parties and field trips, the rest comes from local donations and sponsorships. About one-third of our activities are offered FREE to veterans, victims, recovering addicts, at-risk youth and teens and others who need a hand up, not a hand out. The theory is great. However as facility owners, "headquarters" in Vegas is rich off this venture. They keep all donations and expect partners and affiliates to donate all their time. While I love to help people, I cannot pay my bills or employees charging $5 per ride and next to nothing lessons, not to mention hosting BBQ's all out of my pocket. The "Company" keeps all membership fees as well. They need to be able to distribute money to those ranches willing to help.
