Im sorry that the shirt couldnt be laundered. That would have been within your price expectation. I wonder if this was a simple mistake between requesting dry cleaning And not laundry? Most people want their shirts washed in water and finished by machine and touched up by hand and those are $5.10 I believe. Most cotton dress shirts like you or I would wear can be washed or laundered for under $6.00. Shirts that have to be dry cleaned like silk, linen, suede, expensive polo or dress shirts are the ones that pay over $10. for cleaning. Sounds like a misunderstanding. Id be happy to mail you the difference since youre from out of town. Feel free to write directly to: [email protected]. After 88 years of doing business with integrity and honor our business practices have earned us the distinction of being named the best dry cleaners of the year many times and the last five years in a row. I needed a shirt cleaned in a pinch on a business trip, and this place was near my hotel so I dropped it off without looking at the price, figuring it would be somewhere between $2 and $5 if it is like any other cleaners. As it turns out, I was charged $13.95 to dry clean ONE standard men's dress shirt. "Exorbitant" does not begin to describe the prices at this place. The sales clerk pointed to the price list, which listed a shirt at $13.95. I have never paid more than $4 for a men's shirt dry cleaning so I thought I didn't have to check. I can see now that there are some unscrupulous businesses that prey on unsuspecting customers. Perhaps customers will become cognizant of Dependable Cleaners' sales practices, and they won't have any more customers soon.

Included in the price are : the rent for the location, paying a living wage for the person that greeted you, the person who tags it so we can identify the owner, the person who washes it, the cost of the soap and water and electricity used to wash it, the machine its washed in, the person who irons out all the wrinkles, the lights for that person to work in, the person that inspects its quality, the hanger we use to return it as well as the person who packages it and stores it on the conveyor. We didnt include the cost of health insurance for all those people, the taxes and insurance we must pay to employ them, the cost of being open seven days a week, all the necessary licenses, insurance and permits to operate a business nor any of the advertising, all our charitable giving nor did we include making a profit. I understand thats not your concern, and because it is ours we will be there tomorrow to clean your clothes. Steven Toltz, president Dependable Cleaners. P.S. The store you used 18th and Champa is one of the smallest cleaners we know of in the country. Its 375 square feet. Thats how we can afford to pay downtown rents.

It's unfortunate that they price gouge customers based on their location. $63 for 4 pieces (1 shirt, 2 coats & 1 Dress)... Wish I had read the reviews before I dropped off my clothes. 3 Stars because at least they're clean.

You can probably find a cheaper dry cleaner but like the name says they are dependable. They have done good work on all my dry cleaning, laundry and tailoring needs for the past three years with very efficient drop off and pick up.

Dependable cleaners did a great job with my wash-and-fold and my dry cleaning. And when I had an issue they worked quickly to correct it.

I have used this service twice so far. Cleaning and dry cleaning are good...no issues there. However the pickup and delivery service is far from dependable. The first time there was no driver so I lugged my laundry over and back from the hotel Im in. The second time, I was assured it would be delivered the same day. It was not because someone forgot. So now Im going to uber from the hotel because I wont have time to wait for a 1pm delivery. Additionally, the website will not let you schedule a pickup. It always sends you to register as a new customer. Consider me a former customer once I get my clothes back.
