As the only community based center still located in Englewood, this place can do much better! I'm not so fond of the daycare as some teachers seem to be quite unprofessional and this is literally an observation made after watching them walk back and forth to the park on multiple occasions. I feel as though if we can't get crossing the street right, then you need to go back to the drawing board as a teacher! There is a Senior Citizens daycare program on site and the programs run are meant to engage the seniors on a daily basis which I believe it does. Seniors are provided with both breakfast and lunch and transported to and from the Adult Daycare program M-F. They perform simulating activities and attend day trips and mini shopping excursions. There is an afterschool program that meets here daily which promotes homework help and youth development. And, weekend activities occur which allow those within the community to either participate in free zumba classes, a paid meditation series monthly, and few other programs within the center that allow those in this evolving community to be put first. There has been a bit of a face lift to this community center and they've added in safety protocols which are inclusive of and adhere to today's ever changing childcare facility and senior program regulations. In addition to this, there has also been a transition in employees as well. Though most organizations these days are far from perfect, I feel that this community center offers programs to the community but can/should be expanded into a larger facility to engage more of the community who is located right outside it's doors.

Bergen Family Center and Wendy violated my privacy and HIPAA rights and did the same to another family member. They are being reported to federal and state government for these violations.
