Student's with disabilities have rights...not so much. BOCES service staff have decided that student's with disabilities shed their constitutional rights at the schoolhouse door. They have decided that they can contact doctors and obtain prescriptions of students without parental knowledge or consent, and then put the prescriptions in a binder that the parent never sees. They are working in concert with Dryden, Ithaca, and any other school in their vicinity to violate the rights of all of our children. Take a stand!
I called this morning to inquire about the cost of the cosmetology program...I was told that the program could only be attended by high school student and I was not eligible. I am just sitting here thinking, what the hell? If I have the money why can't I attend cosmetology school if I want? Things are not done this way at the Boces in Elmira...very disappointed.
