Thanks for the input Michael. I'm sorry the fall camp was not what you expected and am glad to see that you came back again in the winter and this spring! Please feel free to speak to one of our staff if you have concerns or questions. We very much like to give children as much freedom as possible to run, play, climb trees, go barefoot and learn how to connect with nature more deeply. Your kids are our next environmental leaders so we hope you will keep coming back!

Been going here for years, and may have given five stars previously, but they've changed their ways considerablyrisk reduction I'd guess you say. The activities have gotten tamer, liberties for the kids to play have been restricted and it's simply getting more polished, which isn't what we look for in outdoor camps like this. Lawyers limiting exposure and/or or catering to people that really don't know what the woods are all about. Makes me think of the folks that go to a campground and equip their site like their backyard. This past week will most likely be the last.

We had a great birthday party here! Kids ranged in age from 3-12, and everyone had a great time! Everyone loved seeing and learning about the Raptors, and Olive the opossum was feisty fun! Lots of things to check out in the cabin as well. Instructors were kind and knowledgeable. Thank you!

Found an injured turtle and brought it to the center on 5/27/18. They were closed when I arrived but thankfully a volunteer was there and gave me info on where I could take him for vet services (NC State turtle rescue). Can't say enough about how thoughtful this volunteer was and really went out of her way to help. Wish I had gotten her name.
