Have lived here for some months and then had to move out before our contract was finished. We were able to find a roommate to sort of take over our lease so luckily we didn't lose our money. Now, it took quite a bit of work on our side to get the paperwork going. Now our lease is up, and the roommate is staying but I'm obviously not staying (I had already moved out of the city). I got an email from NEMA to let me know I had to tell them if I wanted to renew my lease. I emailed saying I didn't want to and asking about next steps to get my deposit back. No answer. Emailed 3 or 4 times in total, called many many times and only got through my designated lease agent (Maycol) and that one time he mentioned he would work on our lease that very same day. It's been weeks since then. And I just received another automated email from Nema warning me I was running out of time to renew my lease. It's just really stressing that I have to do all this over email/phone because I can't be there in person, and that they are completely ignoring me. It is a pity because I loved living there. Before signing the contract, the leasing agent (I had a different one when I started) was wonderful and helpful (less responsive after we signed, but that was foreseeable). 3/5 Most of the concierges are amazing! Some of them are just nice, but some others go the extra length for you, specially if you also make an effort to know them. Didn't use the valet, but the guys at the mail room were also very good. 5/5 Interior of the house and design are nice, modern, comfortable. Never got too hot when I was living there, but it was not a hot summer last year. 5/5 The amenities were also incredible, I loved hanging out in the clubhouse, getting some free pastries and coffee in the morning, enjoying the terrace (despite the wind), etc. 5/5 But this whole situation and incredible lack of communication from the leasing office made me write this 1 star review. This has been going since late June/early July. One other thing that wasn't good is that our neighbor used to host parties at night, often with a strong bass music pass midnight and often smelled marijuana. We complained several times and got pretty much ignored. The concierge would sometimes come and ask the neighbor to keep it down, but the management didn't do anything to avoid this recurrent issue. Honestly, the place is good, but that's why you're paying so much. The service from the leasing agents could be better. They are only good to you before you sign, after that, they ghost you so much, you probably need to go in person to their office to get anything done.

TLDR; great amenities, friendly staff, ok location, high price tag. The best place I have ever lived. They have hands down the best gym I have seen in an apartment complex. Some of my friends have even said it is better then their normal gym. The lounges and rooftop are great for having friends and family over. All the common areas are kept clean and tidy. I have been here a few months now but never seen garbage on the floor anywhere. Locationwise the area might be a bit dodgy once you enter nema you feel safe. There is a market right next door as well as a few restaurants. The staff here is really friendly. They always greet you when you enter/leave and have good recommends for dinning and going out. The prices for this building are a bit high, but if your looking for a place in San Francisco you don't have much choice.

Dont believe the positive reviews. The fire sirens will keep you awake all night, nothibg in the bldg works as supposed to and they will charge you thousands of dollars when you move out for random things against the rent cod . I have had to file small claims suit against the mgmt company for this and it is just not worth it to live ther . The neighborgood is dangerous (look at block by block crime reports, there have been stabbings and armed roberries on that corner) and the mgmt company has such predatory practices.
