Jim Dropps helped us to purchase our first home in NE Minneapolis and we cannot recommend him highly enough. Selling and buying a house is a stressful process that turns your life upside down for months on end. From the to-do lists that need to get tackled before posting to inspections and closing. There are a lot of unknowns, throw a pandemic in the mix for a special kind of fear-stress amalgamation. We first contacted Jim as we were thinking of selling our storybook NE bungalow. This was in February of 2020. He helped us narrow down the to-do list to a manageable level and told us not worry about getting offers. Then came full on lock-down. We were worried but still knocked out the to-do list and continued on. When we were finally ready to list Jim made it as low stress as possible on us. One weekend and we had about 7 offers above asking. He made us feel like we were in complete control. No unnecessary showings and no open house. Jim also helped us buy our new home which was quite the journey. He was always available to show us homes and helped steer us away from the low quality flippers (two sump pumps = red flag). He even kept us safe from nosy competing clients that tried to barge in on our showing time, showed them to the door quickly and concisely without being aggressive. In the end Jim helped us land a larger home in a picturesque neighborhood. A stubborn seller kept us on our toes but Jim helped navigate us to the goal and kept us cool. He also surrounds himself with professionals too. Jim helped us get a quality painter for our exterior that did a great job as well as lined up the closing with a group of pros that literally drove out to get our buyer's check to the closing across town where we were waiting to sign. All we had to do was sit and wait. Jim is great, a consummate professional who knows the real estate market and especially NE. We have friends that have had questionable real estate experiences that have left them wondering what-if? We have never felt that for a moment with Jim.

Jim is the best! We bought a condo sight-unseen in the Twin Cities. He was incredible, listened carefully to us about exactly what we wanted/needed in a home and gave honest feed back about what might be available in the market. He took all our thoughts on board and we trusted his judgment when we found a perfect property in relatively short order. We couldnt be happier with our new home Hes also just an incredibly nice and interesting guy, which is a bonus when house hunting in case you get into a long search! We would definitely work with Jim again!!! Highly recommend to anyone looking to buy a home in the Twin Cities!
