We have been in business for 13 years and have implemented Odoo ERP for 200+ companies in the US and abroad. Everyone is running successfully on the ERP and the custom projects we built for them. I feel bad for Ian because he will never understand that his project was a failure because of his own actions. I highly respect him for being a veteran. I spent so much time with him to learn and understand the business. He has a wonderful business but he lacks the management skills required to build it into a real business. I personally recommended him to join a Vistage CEO group to build these skills as a leader. A CEO running every department in the company and micro-managing everyone is not sustainable. He wanted us to change the entire UI & workflow of the Odoo CRM which we warned can only be done if we alter the core code. We warned this is not a good idea, I even had a chat with the CEO of Odoo and he suggested not to do this. But Ian was adamant that he wanted the screens to be changed or he would abandon the project. There was no one inside his company who could assist with the project. Even for the work we did, we never got paid. There was a pure lack of discipline. Right in the middle of the training we were providing, he flew to China and disappeared for weeks. He promised to get on meetings and missed 5 Zoom meetings, making people wait on him. I do not have any bad feelings for him or his business. We never pushed to have the outstanding invoices paid. But we still have the emails and recorded Zoom calls, where he asked us to do things we warned against. In nearly every meeting, a new requirement was given and it is difficult to implement an ERP like that. Ian, I wish you all the best. As I said, we walked away from one project in 13 years, when we were asked to work further when there are invoices pending to be paid. We asked for proof of what was wrong with the PrestaShop code delivered, but there were no answers. Personally, my advice is to hire an IT expert internally and then resume your ERP implementation. Please do not micro-manage this person, let him/her do the job. All the very best and God Bless!

Lost $70K and 2 years on Failed Projects with Confianz. Major failures across our entire build form Web creation to Odoo customization. The hand off of our odoo project was incomplete, messy code with nothing even connected or working. After having issues with the Confianz lack of deliverables and multiple problems from the start we pulled the build . We then had the code audited and after speaking with 3 of the top Odoo companies they all agreed it would be better to abandon the project and build within Odoo and change processes rather than software that would never upgrade and had many issues. The level of developers they had working on this did many core hacks to make things work that eventually started breaking the build. Also hired to do some prestashop site builds and rather than building a new theme (proper way) they did core edits to obscure themes. This caused yet another issue. They are in the business to bill hours and that's the model that seems to work for most Indian firms due to butts in seats. Rather than approach it to rework business processes to better work within the infrastructure to future proof your build.

Our company used Confianz to build and maintain our eCommerce website and are super happy with our results!
