Terrible customer service. I went to the store twice this week to look at frames and order my prescription. I was unsuccessful in getting the guy behind the counter to care. I am very disappointed by the lack of interest in helping customers. The store has a good selection of frames and nice atmosphere. Very unwelcoming, though.
Judy, We want to start off by apologizing for your experience and address each of your specific concerns below. Scheduling/intake - As we are still relatively new we have utilized a paper system while also testing and identifying electronic systems that would be best for our customers and patients of all ages. Service - We sat down with the specific employee and have provided further education and training in managing customers. We appreciate all our customers and the support they have for EyeQ and any sort of poor customer service is not taken lightly and we will continue to monitor this to ensure that this does not occur again. Samples - Unfortunately this is something for that is hard to manage for a new practice like ours. As we would love to have thousands of samples to provide for our patients we can only carry certain brands and sizes, prescriptions that are most common in the industry. We are working to grow and enhance our inventory of samples. Equipment - We tested several different types of equipment and decided on our specific equipment based off of several factors. The key factors that helped us make this decision were: 1) Highly reviewed within the optometry community and 2) Utilized in many other practices to ensure consistency. Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your valuable feedback.

I've had glasses since middle school - meaning... I've seen a lot of optometrists and have been to a lot of clinics. This one was my least favorite. The scheduling was a bit off over the phone, I overlooked this as I thought I was being sensitive. When I walked in for my appointment, the front desk associate was aloof and not very welcoming. Their intake system is paper and their equipment is outdated. The doctor herself was kind, however, their lack of samples (she prescribed me 3 different things for my eyes and I had to go out and buy all of them to test them out) and outdated machinery were a let down. The follow-up process from there was annoying. I had to reschedule my follow-up and when I arrived for my rescheduled appointment I was notified that I had the incorrect time... so I had to go back, again. There was no apology - just the assumption that I was wrong. When I finally received my prescription it was hand written and cramped as they fit both my prescriptions on one piece of paper. LONG STORY SHORT. I will not be back. I will be going to a new clinic where they have more updated technology (I really hate the air puff test), nicer staff, and perhaps a little more hospitality.
Friendly staff and nice selection of glasses. Staff and Dr Mai are very fluent in the complexities of insurance and how to provide solutions in accordance with your eye budget.
This place is so cute! The set up is more like a trendy boutique- very Portland. I came here when they had their grand opening last year, but I had just got my eye exam at Costco. I went back last week and had my eyes checked by Dr. Thuy. She was awesome! She checked my eyes and had me try on the lens so that I can actually see with my new prescription. I thought that was cool as the other optometrist didn't do that over at Costco. They also have a good selection of frames. They have the high end brands as well as local brands. Prices are reasonable. I found a pair that was less than $100! I definitely recommend this place!
