This was one of my favorite stores when visiting Mobile, Alabama, however, I will never return nor will I return to Antiques on the Loop. High Cottons employees and/or owners blantenly laughed at my mother in response to, is the smell gardenias? In the alternative they were not laughing at her, their oh its a private joke explaination was woefully inadequate. Customers deserve the upmost respect and hospitality by employees and/or owners within their premises. It became apparent to me that High Cotton lacks any notion of these qualities.
While I loved this consignment shop, it is not a place that the average person can afford... Prices definitely too high. Awesome selection... But (for instance) the cheapest dresser I saw here was $425.
Could be a great antique/consignment shop if the women that worked here did not treat every guest like they were beneath them. I was looking to buy all new furniture for my home, and saw the pieces I wanted, but as soon as the women in there looked me up and down and snubbed me, I was no longer interested. You work there, I don't. No thanks.
