My wife and I had a home built in Stonecreek Falls in South Carolina. We were moving from across the country to build our dream home and they turned this process into a nightmare. We went from a completion date of July, to September to latest possible date of Nov 11 and ended up closing on Nov 20th. Even the day of closing they were wanting to extend the completion date. We were fortunate enough to have a family member that lived locally to check on the progress for us. There were so many mistakes made during the building process. Many of the options we had selected were not done so we had to have them correct it. They installeee showers in the wrong locations, added walls where there weren't supposed to be, left the home unlocked nightly, left beer bottles under the home, killed the plants that they installed during the build, forgot to add support braces, left a window opening without a window uncovered when it rained allowing the insulation to get soaked, ect.The supervisor Ron didn't seem like he had any idea what was going on with the build or what the plans were at any time during the build. We were lied to time after time. The only way we were able to get anything accomplished was by reaching out to upper management. Our home and lot looked like a landfill during the build. They took zero care in protecting our home during the build. Our carpets were installed almost 2 months before the home was completed. The carpets were covered in clay footprints and paint. The put holes in our new LVP floors and spilled paint on them. Going through the walk through there were so many things wrong instead of trying to fix them they first tried to cancel selling us the home after we had moved across the country. They have done this to other homeowners as well. And from the 20+ homeowners I have spoken with who used SK they had the same experience. I would stay away from this builder. If you decide to use this builder I would get everything in writing. I mean every conversation. Every promise that is made you will want and need in writing. I would constantly check on your build as you will undoubtedly find mistakes and negligence. Additionally we have multiple issues that have not been corrected since we closed on the house, which was a month ago: - no drain in one of our showers - trash and beer bottles left under our deck - windows that don't work - damaged front door threshold - misc. additional items
Hello Joshua, We take your feedback seriously and we'd like to see what we can do to resolve any outstanding issues or how we could have improved your experience with us. Please reach out to us at [email protected] and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

They used interior tiny finishing nails to fasten the balusters on our second story deck (not sure how that passed building code). They rusted and came loose. My three year old almost fell off the deck from the second story when the baluster he was holding onto separated from the deck. I do not recommend this builder. I found countless other items built wrong and with poor quality. Kitchen cabinet trim mis-measured and off on one side. One of our living room windows is off by 2-3 inches from the window below it. Visible to the eye. They build interior walls on 16 inch centers. We now have nail heads popping out in multiple rooms due to these cheap shortcuts. Do yourself a favor and find a better quality builder. They already had to come out on fix our deck that was sinking because they graded water to drain into the post. I had to personally fix the drain issue on my own dime. Buyer beware. You have been warned.
Tonya Stanley should receive relator of the century! She is the best agent I have every worked with while moving and I have moved 7 times before! If I ever move again Im taking tonya to be my agent!! Very responsive, reliable, and just an amazing person all around!
Do not deal with these people. They are the worst. Some people say they used to be okay but now they are run by a bunch of crooks. Poor build quality and when something is not done right will insist there is nothing wrong. When finally admit that there is an issue will take forever to come and fix a little bit at a time dragging it out. Their warranty guy Shawn is absolutely the worst. He will lie to your face. Have no idea how they are still in business treating people this way.
