They question and search all of the things you are trying to buy. Basically accusing you of trying to steal. If they mess up on a price they either take it back and raise the price or imply that you changed the price. I've had items I purchased tossed across the table at me because they didn't agree with their own price! Very unprofessional, rude, and incredibly unhappy people!!
Horrendous. Never on time because the employees are shopping everything before they open. I showed up at a sale at 5:00 am and was the first one to an item - the employee was marking it sold because of a phone call purchase. Absolutely a huge disappointment. Update: It turns out it was the estate sale company owners wife (working as an employee of the sale) who was purchasing the item in question the minute the sale opened. Thats fine, but heres my issue - she completely lied about it. She said that the first customer in the house bought them - wrong because I was absolutely the first customer in that room. Then, she later changes her story to say a customer called in to purchase it over the phone. So the story changes and shes being completely untruthful. My issue here is the lie and unfairness of the behavior. Just dont include the items in the sale if you know they wont be available, or at least be honest at a minimum.
Tony runs a great estate sale! I always find quality items to purchase at very fair prices when attending Park Lane Estate Sales. It seems there are so many "estate sale businesses" out there now. My advice on this is don't waste your time with most of them. I regularly follow only three of the most reputable companies in the Twin Cities and am out early every weekend that one or all of them are having sales. Park Lane is always first on my list because of the caliber of sales that Tony runs. Most of my best finds have come from his sales. Tony and his team are personable, knowledgable and friendly.
Tony Nucera and his team at Park Lane Estate Sales did an excellent job with our recent estate sale. Beginning with the initial review and estimate, Tony demonstrated his knowledge of the marketability/worth of our possessions. During the preparation and sale we appreciated the thoughtfulness Tony, his wife Giada, brother Carlo, and team exhibited in caring for our home and possessions. Arranging furniture and other bulky items for the sale, and assisting with the removal once sold, is a laborious process that they willingly assisted with. I would highly recommend Park Lane Estate Sales to anyone who values professional service with a personal touch such as we received.
