Recently gave us a dog that was in our home for no more than 6 month till they deemed it "A danger to society" and put down not long after being taken away from us. They obviously do not know what kind of dogs are good for people and which ones aren't. This dog they gave us was non-violent and loved people and only had a few problems with other dogs.
Terrible is a modest start. What a joke. After applying, I was informed that I would receive a response shortly. I guess a week is considered a prompt response. Then, I was told via email that I was not able to be considered for a dog because I have an invisible fence. I suppose they have their reasons(even though every dog we have ever owned came from rough previous situations. We rescued them and they seemed to do quite well with the our fencing arrangement). I guess it is tough for a rescue dog to run around on a 1/2 acre lot and sleep in a king size bed after a long walk. Or maybe roughing it is napping on the dog bed in front of a cozy fire. Freedom Service Dog Rescue wouldn't know that is the situation since they didn't even bother to make a simple phone call or return my original phone call. Thanks Katie. The only service you are providing is a disservice to your animals because you are too lazy to follow up with potential candidates for a permanent home. You know nothing about us, nor care to learn more. You simply denied us because of what you read on an application. Very disappointing.
