ER intake is rude and unprofessional. Berated my husband for not seeing his primary care Dr before coming to the ER "with 28 other people." He tried to explain to her that the reason for his visit had really only begun within the last hour, on a Saturday afternoon, when primary cares are NOT open, AND that we had tried every single Urgent Care in town before coming to the ER, but she was dismissive and acted like he was such a bother. For the record, he didn't want to be there anymore than she wanted him there, but we tried other options. Hateful staff.

I came in to the ER with severe cheat pain and couldn't breathe. 3 months prior i had been treated for pneumonia in Greensboro at another moses cone location. Chest xrays, no CT. Alamance did xray and the practitioner was very worried about it being a blood clot in my lung. The xrays showed a mass in the exact location as 3 months prior. I insisted on a CT scan but was given a z-pac and sent on my way, because i didn't have insurance. Several months later i went to the hospital in Concord and they found a tumor in my lung. It had metastasized into my liver and abdomen. Was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. Bith previous visits were to mises cone health facilities and both times they refused to do a CT scan. Over the course of that 9 months of time, we would have found the cancer long before it was stage 4 and i would literally not have been given a death scentence. My oncologist told me that had we found it back in February it absolutely would not have been stage 4, no question and he had serious concerns as to why moses cone refuses to to proper scans especially with a history of cancer and multiple xrays showing a mass in my lung. Someone needs to be held accountable for this. As for the reply, i did call the number and left several messages. The recording says you will contact me within one business day. No one has contacted me to date. The line only allows you to leave a message. It is very misleading to publically express concern but then not actually do anything. Pretty deceptive in my opinion. To give the appearance of offering help but not actually offering any help.
