The COVID19 is a nightmare for everyone, no one and no small event organization business is winning in this global pandemic, I can assure you of that. We have two insurance coverage policies for our events, pandemics are excluded from this coverage. The loss runs deep for everyone right now and we completely understand your frustration and disappointment. If we had any other options we most certainly would have extended them. Be safe and stay well.

Do the right thing and at least offer the option to defer to next year's Biltmore half and full marathon. Pretty greedy otherwise. Maybe use a portion of everyone's entry fee to go towards insurance in the event something like this happens in the future to cover your costs. To flat out deny a refund and/or deferral on this is shady and greedy. I know I'm not alone in second guessing ever doing an iDaph event in the future.

We are as gutted, sad and angry as you are that COVID hit our community and that the March event had to be cancelled when the government shut everything down. Unfortunately, with a week out from the event in March we had no alternatives for the event but to cancel and offer what we could and had available to us. We did our absolute best to give what we could with remedies to the situation including a virtual event replacement, mailed swag bags with all the special event goodies, and partial refunds of ticket fees. We understand your frustration and being upset about the outcome due to the pandemic. We did our best given the situation as well.

Took 80% of everyone's money instead of refunding like 100% of other events when they opted to cancel the Biltmore event.

Fantastic event executed impeccably well. The communication prior to the ride was clear and concise which is impressive given the added challenges I would imagine are associated with hosting an event of this scale at the Biltmore Estate. The course was beautiful and challenging and very well marked with the bonus of providing access to the east side of the estate and the chance to ride right in front of the house. The volunteer staff was incredibly friendly, encouraging, and helpful throughout the entire event. The expo was a great experience as well with awesome sponsors and fantastic food & beverages. This event caters to such a wide variety of athletes with an option for all levels of runners and riders. This ended up culminating into an incredibly fun and family friendly post event atmosphere that you don't often see. I would highly recommend this event to others. I will definitely be back next year and plan on attending many other iDaph events in the future!

The Asheville off road duathlon was my race but there were actually 3 races going on at once all on the same course and they managed to make it work flawlessly . Great job.
