Devastated with the whole Bargate experience - its not what it says on the tin. Literally could write a essay on how not to treat homebuyer, fantastic at marketing which is completely inconsistent with delivery. Plot 18 The Hideaway bring your wellies as the swamp in the rear garden necessitates

Brickstation feedback. Bargate Homes finish is certainly better than others we considered which were awful. However, it is not excellent as marketed which becomes apparent when you move in. Basically, there are too many minor snags, damages, unfinished items, plus a few major snags on the above ground drainage and plumbing. On the positive side the location and design is lovely, there is no brick rubble in the garden (subsoil & turf), and currently the snags are being addressed (2 months in house) The Bargate sales team are good. The customer care team are ok, however is it very much up to the home owner to be available and update the customer care team, which is very time consuming and requires days off work for months after moving in, an inconvenience that could be avoided by sending the snag team in first and selling a finished product to be proud of. There is an obvious lack of care from some of the construction subbies when working on your house, but I assume you cant guarantee they are the same contractors across each development, so everything will vary from site to site. Some of them are local firms which is good.

We love our new Bargate Home at the Archerswood Development, Fair Oak. Lorraine made the buying experience really wonderful... full of energy and enthusiasm, nothing was ever too much trouble for her and any queries were always dealt with immediately. The communication from Lorraine was exceptional... we loved receiving the weekly progress and photo updates from her. A lovely personal touch which really helped us to stay connected and feel involved throughout the build process. Really delighted to see Bargates support of small local businesses and suppliers, as well as the thoughtful eco friendly touches around the development. As with every new build home, its not unusual to experience some snagging issues, so ours came as no surprise. Most are being worked through quickly and efficiently. Were confident that the remaining snagging will also be resolved in a timely fashion. We wouldnt hesitate to recommend Bargate Homes!

As an investor I purchased my Bargate apartment in Chailey Court, Basingstoke back in September 2015. I found all the staff at Bargate Homes very helpful and honest in their approach throughout. This building is perfectly situated just off the town centre and only a 5 minute walk from the Train Station. I would not hesitate to recommend Bargate Homes to friends and family as the specification was far greater than other similar apartment buildings in the area.

It's a shame because me and my partner were so excited to move into our home. However 4 months on and we are still waiting for over 20 issues to be resolved. Booking times in to come and correct them and then not turning up. A real dissapointment.
