As a student in Cambridge, I find the K-oop to be in a convenient location. However, I've found the service to be terrible; Kevin, the owner, has a poor temper and little-to-no patience (especially over the phone) and is prone to giving your spot to walk-ins because he seems to forget that he scheduled you! Beware that he may act kind to you if you're a first timer, but it certainly won't last. The haircuts are subpar, meaning that if you care about what your hair looks like then you're better off finding a new barber. Ultimately, I strongly advise against coming here. I have no malicious intent in writing such a negative review, but given my appalling experience I would like to spare others of the same troubles. TLDR: The convenience of the shop's location doesn't outweigh the terrible service - look for other barber shops!
The good news is that I got an acceptable haircut at a good-for-the-area price ($20 for a basic men's haircut.) The bad news is that I didn't feel like I had any control over the process. I was going to get the haircut that the barber wanted me to have, regardless of anything I said. If your model is "I am a sheep who needs shearing", this is the place for you. If you think of your hair as a form of self-expression, I would look elsewhere.
I go here to get my hair done. It's a cash only places, a fact that I've forgotten a few times. Besides that they do a good job. Kind of a hard place to done though downstairs and in the corner.
Bad haircut. He inexplicably disconnected my beard from my sideburns on one side, and left the other side very uneven. Honestly one of the worst experiences I have ever had at a barber. I will not return.
