Worst hair salon experience ever. 1. Appointment was at 9:30 am with Mercedes this past Saturday. My daughter and I kept getting skipped and they finished our hair around 5pm. One example I saw was a random lady that walked in at noon and Mercedes did her hair from start to finish while making use wait. That lady was definitely a walk-in because she asked if they would be able to do her hair today because she did not have an appointment. 2. Said she would add a treatment on my hair without me asking and said it would cost extra. It was $25 extra and I did not know until the end. Instead of just saying she would add a treatment, she should have asked me and disclosed the price. 3. Only asked for treatment for my daughter and $25 price was disclosed at the end. This is way too pricey for a deep conditioner. 4. The hair dye on my hair was not properly removed. My scalp was itchy as I waited for rollers. I scratched my scalp and found globs of hair dye. I asked to have it rinsed off and I could tell it still was not properly washed off when I got home. It also bled into my face and my ears and I could not remove it when I got home. 5. I wanted to have my daughter's hair ends to be bleached and colored a light pastel pink. I told Mercedes that I had the color when I set up the appointment over the phone. She said I could not bring my own color and that they have pastel pink. I said, please no hot pink. My daughter ended up getting hot pink ends. Mercedes brushed it off when I brought it to her attention. She said it will turn into the color we want after a few washes. 6. The person who bleached my daughter's hair ends was clearly inexperienced and some of the bleached areas are much longer than others, making the transition look horrible. 7. I asked for a trim on my ends and the hair stylist insisted on layers. I kept saying no and she would not let up. I gave into the layers because after waiting for so many hours, I was exhausted. My hair ended up being shorter than I wanted it and I was charged $15 extra for this special haircut that was insisted. 8. They rushed through working on our hair towards the end of their day and did not do a great job with the blowouts. Our hair looked terrible by the time we left the salon. 9. When they detangled our hair, we both felt that they were ripping our hair. We had detangled our hair before going so there were not many tangles... but the bit we had we found the people that detangled our hair were just ripping our hair. 10. Last, but not least, my final shock was the price tag of the work. $300 for the work. I never paid so much for this kind of service, let alone the worst service I ever had. The only good thing about the experience was how friendly people were, but they may have only been friendly to offset the negatives that were evident from our experience. I will never come here again and I hope my daughter's hair will not have adverse affects from the very uneven bleach/dye job. I cried with her after she left the salon with hot pink hair. The hot pink color will fade, but the strange bleaching will have long term effects.
