I had the pleasure to work with Foursquare Builders to build out my custom condo at the Seaholm in Austin and I could not be more pleased. Wes and my project manager Matt, along with their staff did an amazing job and were able to build out my vision. Anything I threw at them was never to much to handle and they were always up for the challenge. Ultimately, the end product was flawless and landed us on the cover of Austin Home Magazine. Foursquare Builders designed and built our dream house about 4 years ago and it is still as beautiful today as the day they finished it. The quality of their work is outstanding and they are a pleasure to work with. Wes Wigginton, the owner even helped us find a 3 acre lot with a breathtaking view of a canyon. I strongly recommend Foursquare Builders. I hear horror stories of other custom builders and am so glad we ended up with Foursquare. The entire team was easy to work with. They were very responsive to questions and feedback. Wes Wigginton was always available to answer to our questions and he has an easy-going personality that makes him a pleasure to deal with. Wes was able to navigate the tricky balance between trades, project managers and clients. Throughout the process, the Foursquare team worked well with the architect, interior designer and our lenders. I was thoroughly impressed by their collaboration with the architect to make his vision a reality. The team was very respectful of our budget. They worked hard to stay close to budget with innovative ways to save money without compromising quality. As expected, we were over budget, but not by much (about 10%). The overages were either because of change orders we initiated, or because of reasonable expenses. The Foursquare team was honest and transparent with any financial decisions. I extremely impressed with the overall quality of the build. Foursquare works with high-quality sub-contractors and the project managers ensure that they are doing excellent work with attention to detail. Jenny Teague and Matt Carswell have a ton of experience and are able to orchestrate the process nicely. Now to the downsides of the build We went through 3+ project managers. I understand that turn-over is a part of business. But when this happens, there is an inherent lack of carry-over with the transition. I would consider this a minor nuisance. We were also overpromised regarding the timeframe of completion. Our 18mo project became closer to 23 months to completion. This was a continual frustration throughout the build, but something I was willing to deal with in order to ensure quality work-which we certainly got.
