Poor customer service, and little more than a landing page for a website. No ability to remit a deposit or payment online. In 2021... I spent 4 weeks calling their "office" on the days they are open (clearly this is a moonlighting gig that someone is running off the side of their desk on Tuesdays and Thursdays) and leaving messages after attending their open house. Last week, I finally got through and spoke to the director. After being put on hold 3 times over the course of a 15 min call, I found out that they still had open spots for summer camp. I then asked if they had experience with gender nonconforming children, and she got very quiet. I was then told "we do not have any experience with 'that sort of thing'". 2 days later we received a letter in the mail, informing us that their "board" had rejected us. Praise Jesus Christ for his tollerance and mercy, and let the proprietor's someday find him and his grace.
Camp Rock is an independent organization and is one of the most reasonably priced camps in the area. All campers are required to be current on their tuition to remain at camp. We have a wonderful paid staff and team of volunteers who are grateful to work with campers! All campers receive multiple snacks throughout the day and may even have hot lunch if they choose. Drop off times are cleary communicated in our handbook and daily emails. We would be happy to meet with you to discuss any concerns you have.

Money hungry controlling church run camp. The Camp is ran as a 501c non profit. Yet ,they want people to volunteer. This church says they are for the Community but, they charge outrageous prices. The director is rude. Half of the staff is non paid but, they cost as much as a commercial camp. They barely give snacks and the food they feed the kids is basic. They dont accept kids for before care if its not the time they want the child there. The issues they are bringing up has nothing to do with how my child was treated. I stand by everything I said here. When my child stoped attending no one reached out to me. They are only concerned with this review that I left. Which in the first post out of courtesy I didnt mention the director pushing my child from getting out of the car. My child attended this church with family ( not me)since she was one years old. She is no too afraid to run into this director again . And as I stated earlier no effort was made to contact me. I even tried to reach them thru my family and they never called , emailed or sent a text. They told the family I wouldnt have to meet them there. Which I dont feel comfortable doing seeing as they basically condone the behavior of their director. They are only trying to save face here. They are not trying to address the behavior or actions that affected my child who has attended here with her family for 6 years. Reputation and social face is more important than the harm cause to my child. There is so much I could say here . But, out respect for my familys privacy I wont.
We love Camp Rock! Our daughter has been attending camp for the past 2 years and she loves going to Camp Rock. She comes home happy and tired everyday. I love that her summer is filled with fun, sun, and water while getting tons of exercise and no screen time. The staff (especially Ms. Julie) is really organized, professional and they offer a great variety of activities for the kids. You can tell that the staff truly loves kids and really cares about their well-being. I dont have to worry about my childs care during the summer because I know she is in good hands at Camp Rock!
The staff were friendly, professional, organized & caring. My kids enjoyed this camp, and all of the fun activities they had planned each week, I look forward to them returning in future summers to come!!
Thank you for your message. We are independent from the Family Restitution Program. We're sorry for whatever information they may have provided you as to our availability, but we have had a wait list since before camp began in June. You were informed of this when you called us this week. We wish you a wonderful summer and are grateful you were able to find camp for your family.

Unfortunately, my son will never try it because we were told different things. No accountability and no supervisor available. It just is what it is and Im glad I got this treatment at first before money was paid. Because weve been through too much already to deal with this. And it resulted in him never being placed in the camp. Less than 12 hours ago I was promised a spot then later on I was told they have a very long wait list and wont accept campers. How ghetto lol we are attending CAMP SONSHINE INSTEAD. Which has more activities and they are ALL included for less. I just hate the unprofessional dismissive and rude thing when dealing with people. A reply was sent to me about a family restitution program I know nothing about that and the payment is made directly with cash the behavior was unprofessional and ethical and working in such a manner will not sustain a healthy business relationship community relationship I have a good rapport with the community I did speak to someone else they also had a bad experience prior to enrolling and if they knew they were booked since June they should not have giving me false information. Nonetheless Im very grateful and Im thankful that God saw fit for us to be somewhere else that I know is gonna be a lot more professional and deal with me accordingly. The reply that was given was more of a passive dismissive reply and it does not fit the situation that is going on with me or that happened to me. And Im just learning that its a nonprofit organization yet the price is ridiculous and they have volunteers and they charge $35 for less than an hour of a horseback ride which you can get a lot less expensive and you can buy packages at the horse stable and the JCC camp does the same if not more and better things for anybody that wants to stay local And they have several horseback riding camp that you can get a larger discount and not pay so much per day just to ride a horse $35 is ridiculous however I still wanted to give it a try based on some of the reviews Im not sure if the reviews come from family church members or friends but I highly doubt that they are all honest .
