Hello everyone my name is Gladys Urquia I am a family of 6 children and I came to the gift room here for the first time ever and I was treated with the most unprofessional way ever by the Volunteers that spoke Spanish... I was so excited to get help for my childrens Christmas gifts since I couldnt afford them at all this year but soon as I got here the ladys spoke to me in the most Disrespectful way in Spanish.They spoke to me in Spanish because they knew that there was people that spoke English around them then they knew they couldnt get away with it if they spoke with me in English in this type of tone. Ive never been so humiliated, embarrassed, and felt so depressed after leaving. I thought these programs were here to help families in need and not treat them with the most disrespectful ways ever because they need help. They show no compassion and do not give dignity to those who are poor asking for help!! I understand how people can work as caseworkers or Volunteers and treat those who are less Fortunate without dignity or respect!! I will never come back here for anything in my life again!!! I hope no one donates to this organization as they dont really want to help those in need at all!!
