Booked an evening meal for my mother in law birthday. Four of us eat early, in for 6:30pm. Staff were friendly but food dissapoints. Actually food was OK but certainly not for the price. My wife ordered the beef which came with a raw potato. Naturally we sent it back, carried on our meal and a second potato arrived. That too was under cooked. Everyone including staff agreed. We were told it was rushed and therefore under cooked. Sorryful excuse. We've eaten here lots over the years. Staff are always pleasant. Food always mediocre. Nottingham is a wash with restaurants. Good chain eateries and some great independent places. Affordable to luxury. Not entirely sure where WS sits within this category.

Good food at a reasonable price, dated interior and not in a good way. Service was strange, waiters come at you from all angles, up down, left right. They insist on putting wine / water bottles in a communal ice bucket but are not attentive enough to replenish empty glasses.

Special occasion dinner, wonderful food lovely waiting staff, professional and welcoming
The service was as attentive as previous experiences. Our starter was excellent but the main course, duck, was chewy. The restaurant kindly gave us free coffee because we complained. However, when we received the bill we were astonished by the price. It was only later that I worked out that we had been given the a la carte menu and not the set lunch one. Our fault for not spotting that the 'sheet ' had separate prices on it but we should have been offered the set lunch sheet as well as the a la carte. Excuse the pun but was left with a nasty taste in the mouth.
