TLDR: Covid measures lacking and bad customer service from a new staff member. Haircut however was excellent. I have always had a good experience here, until last week when I came in on time for my haircut, the lady Val who was supposed to cut my hair, was busy with a customer. Fair enough. But no acknowledgement that I even came in, no 'I'll be with you shortly' or anything at all. I waited nearly 15 minutes for my haircut to start. Normally I'm with the other hairdressers but I'm not sure if this is the norm for this new lady? I just found it a bit rude. Usually the hairdresser would take my coat away but she told me to hang my own coat. Also when I was talking to her about what haircut I wanted, she left me mid-speech a couple of times, to get scissors or a comb or whatever it was that was more important than listening to my request. But hey I guess if she called me "babe" and told me that however I wanted my hair, she would do it, then that would make up for the other shortcomings right? One star off. Anyway the haircut was great, more than satisfied with it! Another star off for their covid measures: they really need to review / practise it at this place. Coming in, the hand gels at the door were almost empty. I used my own. The staff wore face shields but not masks. That's OK for some I guess. But masks protect more than face shields do. Val did not wipe, spray or sanitise the chair before I used it after the last customer. Not even a semblance of trying to make it look like they clean in between customers, although I'm not sure how helpful that would be in the end, surely every little helps? Finally when I got my brows done the beautician again was not wearing a mask or a face shield. I wore mine but at some points I had to take it off so she could even out my brows. I felt unsafe because her face was so close to mine that I could hear her breathing. I think if you are blasé about safety precautions then by all means book in. It's a shame because their services are fantastic. But Val's customer service and the lack of thought about covid safety left me a little paranoid as I came out the shop. It's a stark difference from other establishments who really try to make your experience with them as safe as possible, eg Nandos. There wasn't even a track and trace QR code at Sunbury X, which I realised after I got home, thinking that I would have to check in because I was paranoid to get a case of covid from the place. Edit: 8 days after visiting I received a message from nhs track and trace asking me to isolate. FYI the app alerts you if someone you have spent <2 metres and >15 minutes with, tests positive for Covid. I haven't spent time anywhere else outside that week for that long, so I am scared. Currently running down the clock on my isolation and thankfully no clear symptoms yet. Be careful, everyone.

This is a professional hair salon. They know what they're doing and are friendly. Book an appointment, also online so you don't wait. My top choice for an excellent haircut.

The staff are friendly and nice but wasn't impressed with the hair cut, it's uneven and looks choppy. I wouldn't recommend as Im now having to pay another hairdresser to fix the cut.
