So I am going to share my full experience here, starting with my first phone call on Monday, to today when I went to look at a car I was pretty sure I wanted to buy. First off, I called after seeing the ad, Jason answered the phone. I asked about the Honda fit, and if it was still available. I live about 3 hours away, but it was the car I wanted, and it seemed like a good price. He told me someone was looking at the car, but he would call me back in a moment and let me know if they were actually interested in buying or not. An hour later, no call back. I called myself, no answer. I called again 5 hours later before their closing time, no answer again so I left a message. Tuesday morning, I had not been called back yet, so I called one more time and left another message. I got a call back 5 minutes later from Annie, who can I say right now is the ONLY reason I am giving this place a 2 star review. She was very apologetic that no one returned my call, and helpful Told me that someone was supposed to buy the car, but it didn't look like they could come through with the payment (they were only accepting cash), so she was pretty sure it was available again. She wanted to double check that they weren't coming back, but otherwise would set up a time for me to come see it. She called me back an hour later, told me the other person never returned her calls, and had left no deposit, so we would go through with my looking at it. She then informed me that the car was in the garage getting inspected, which apparently they don't start until they have a buyer?!? Seemed odd, but ok. She knew I was not close, so promised to call me back when it was done in the shop. She called the next day, and agreed to hold it till today so that I could come down and check it out. It looked great online, I was pretty excited. I get there today, around 1:30, 2:00. Annie is there to greet me, but Jason, the owner and sales person, was not there. She was alone, even had to lock the place behind her in order to take us the the test drive. Annie is obviously not the sales person, but she was as helpful as she could be, and didn't make us wait to try it out. Seemed to drive ok, wasn't perfect but not bad for a used car. Looked great on the outside, had some cosmetic stuff inside, nothing thats a deal breaker for me. THEN WE LOOKED UNDERNEATH. I live in VT, so I am no stranger to rust, but this was really bad. AND the ad in which I found the car CLAIMS it has no rust. This car would have never passed a Vermont inspection, I know that much. NY is obviously much more lax. Either way, that ad was clearly a lie, and the car needed a LOT of work to become inspectable. Jason was back at this point, yet had not come out to see us. I had found the rust after Annie had gone inside, so I went in to tell them. She apologized and went back to speak to Jason. He STILL did not come out, and she came back out obviously uncomfortable with nothing to tell me, not even an offered price drop. Needless to say, we drove away without the car, and disappointed that it had been so misrepresented. Thank you Annie for being so great about keeping me updated and everything else. If it weren't for you this probably would have been a much more painful experience. Bottom line is, PLEASE look the car over completely before buying here, they are not representing their cars truthfully.
