Its unfortunate this tenant was unhappy with our services as we are dedicated to providing exceptional customer service to our clients. We respond to all our calls promptly, and any emails within 24 hours or less. Prior to a new tenant moving into a property repairs, cleaning, carpet cleaning, and lawn care are done to ensure the property is move in ready, and prior to a new move in our leasing agents walk the property to ensure all work has been completed. DJW always conducts a final inspection at the end of each tenancy, and documents any repairs and cleaning, as well as taking photos of the properties condition. Any repairs or cleaning done at the property were completed within the terms of the lease agreement, and were items considered above normal wear and tear. All charges applied to the tenants account were valid, and a copy of the invoices were sent to the tenants forwarding address. DJW Property Management strives to provide professional customer service, and our office staff was never unprofessional or lied to these tenants.

DJW Rental Co in Boise, ID is a HORRIBLE rental company. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM. They lie. They never return ur calls or emails. We paid our rent on time and took care eof the home as if it was ours and they did not give our whole security back. When we first rented the home it was filthy it was not painted and soo many things were wrong with it and we told they did nothing about except charge us for it when we left. This is so unfair!! We have to seek a lawyer because we have been treated so unfairly and wrong. Debbie lied to us in beginning and because of it we are paying for it now. They have horrible Manager/ Property Agents and customer service. I wish the owners at this property knew about what they do to their renters. I warn and caution you and recommend you to do not do business with them unless u want to pay for things u did not do. My neighbor who rents from them says they are so horrible as well. We are reporting them to the Better Business Bureau.
It's unfortunate this tenant is leaving a negative review for DJW Property Management, especially since we follow all policies & procedures within Idaho State Law, Federal Law, and Fair Housing Laws. The homeowner was aware of the damage these tenants incurred to the property and agreed to have their file sent to our collection agency to collect the balance due on their account. Our collection agency pursued these tenants this week which is why the tenants are submitting a review. Thank You, DJW Property Management

Zero stars. Terrible nightmare tenant service. Homeowners left clueless.
DJW took over the management of the property I am renting a year ago.Since then, the property has been greatly improved. I recently had my 60 year old toilet replaced and Action Plumbing, who was hired by DJW, John, brought a big black plastic bag in, bagged the old toilet and took it out. He did not leave rust, or water in his wake. He installed the new one in speedy time and when I inspected, he had cleaned the floor and the installation was pristine. It was greatly appreciated that he had cleaned the area. Often, I've had others who left their mess. The ladies in the office, Amanda and Gwen, have always answered my concerns with patience and kindness, and they make notes of issues, and the issues get taken care of. I am treated with respect and kindness. I am extremely happy with DJW and would recommend renting from them.
8/23/2019 The terms of our lease are clear and concise and DJW Property Management applies the terms and conditions of the lease to all tenants who occupy the properties we manage. Our lease clearly states Landlord will provide carpet cleaning upon vacancy at Tenant's expense and the costs specifically for professional cleaning of carpets will be automatically deducted. Idaho State Law states the landlord may use the deposit for reasons designated in the lease, such as cleaning or repairs necessary to restore the rental to its condition at the beginning of the tenancy. The final move out inspection, which you signed and agreed to clearly documents carpet cleaning, and damage considered above normal wear and tear and the final move out inspection specifically documents the carpets were not professionally cleaned; therefore the charges applied to your account follow Idaho State Law and are in accordance with the terms of the lease. All tenant disputes must be placed in writing per company policy. The tenant was told several times to place his concerns in writing, and he would receive a response; the tenant placed his concerns in writing and he received several responses regarding his concerns; he was also told the subcontractors we us for repairs are in compliance and not above fair market rate. DJW Property Management cannot be held liable for this tenants assumptions of the lease or their negligence regarding such. Thank You, DJW Property Management.

RENTER BEWARE!! I moved here from out of state and found a brand new house for rent online. I didn't think much about the property mgt company because it was a new property and why would I care. I have excellent credit, income etc. I could get any property I chose, provided it was available. I received the rental with no problem. Well, my issues came when I had to break the lease early. I already knew I would forfeit my full $1500 deposit and have to pay rent until they re-rented the property. No problems with that. We paid that with no concern. My issues came about when I received a $300 carpet cleaning bill and nearly $300 in repairs. Mind you, I stayed in this brand new house 6 months. I work full time and barely used the house. I hired a professional cleaning service to insure the house was spotless and in the same condition I received it in. When I did the final walk-through check out with the rental agent, she even remarked how the unit looked perfect and she found no issues. We signed off on the final walk through form and thought we were done. So, why did after the fact we receive a bill for carpet cleaning and repairs?? Good questions, right? I called the office hoping to speak with someone about this. I was quickly told by the person who answered that they do not take any questions over the phone and that all questions must be made through email communication. OKAY!?!?! So, I put together a detailed e-mail trying to understand why we would be charged all these various charges that were not disclosed in our final walk through. Their response - they referenced the lease which basically states that every property will be subject to a carpet cleaning fee. It doesn't disclose for how much and the way it's written seems to imply that it only happens when there is more than average wear or soil. In our case - these carpets were as new as the day we moved in. The repairs - they sent us an invoice showing very minor repairs that were not pointed out in the walk through and the invoice didn't even look like it came from a professional company. The parts and labor for the repairs were insanely inflated and unbelievable. As I continued to email back to the property mgt company, they continued to respond with "we have provided you everything we are required by law and will not make any changes". They didn't even have the courtesy to answer many of my specific questions. They wouldn't even give me a copy of the walk through form that I signed!! Upon many requests in email I asked for a simple phone call to discuss the matter. It never happened. After weeks of emails, I feel forced to pay the fees because the last thing I'm going to do is hurt my credit over a stupid rental. But, the fact that this company couldn't give me a simple phone call or come us with any type of resolution was absolutely the worst example of management I have ever had to experience. I gave them numerous opportunities to call me and work towards a resolution that would be fair. They never did and their communication is very dry, cold and non-caring. Now reading though some of their other poor reviews and seeing their indifferent, unconcerned and unemphatic responses - I wish I would have been aware of this poorly managed company before I agreed to rent from them. RENTER BEWARE!!!
