I just did a tally, and Ive rented 7 different properties over the course of 26 years in 3 different states. In all that time I have never heard of, or dealt with a company as criminal as Personal Property Management of Vancouver. Aside from the mandatory $500 cleaning fee and almost $500 move-in fee, they kept my entire $2600 deposit after I moved out. (They are now forcing me to go through small claims to try to get it back.) Throughout my 3 years as a tenant they were not only bitterly rude on the phone (and through email) but literally never fixed ANY of my several major complaints. So you understand the severity of what Im referring to, one of them included a window that completely separated from a bedroom wall in December. DECEMBER! I had to hire my own carpenter to reinstall it. If their properties seem like a good deal, I assure you they are not. Please learn from my mistakes. Good luck out there renters.

We are very sorry you feel this way and would welcome you to come into our office (or have a detailed phone call) to go through all the details of processing your move out. We are hired to manage the property and protect the property owners investment. In short, it is our expectation (and stated per the lease) that when items are damaged or altered without prior authorization that the home is returned into the same state and quality at the time of your move in. Once again, we are more then happy to go into as much detail as you need (pictures, etc...) so you are well aware of the items that needed fixing and the exact costs from the bids obtained. We as a company do not get compensated for any repair or maintenance work we simply work on behalf of our property owner clients to maintain their investment and provide quality homes for our tenants.

Absolute rip off! Be warned they will look for any reason to overbill you and keep your deposit. They went from owing us 4175.00 to us owing them 1055.38. 150.00 to take down patio lights? For real? I want that job. We paid a landscaper that they suggested and then they still charged us 271.00. The stains were already there on their floor and they are charging us 3219.00 so they can completely redo the floors!! This company is a bunch or rip off scam artists. I thought they were great when I moved in too! Sarah was super helpful but this is rediculous!
