Disgusting and shocking service. This company is a joke. I ordered a carpet from Tapi in July, fitting date arranged September 1st. Received a call the night before 1st to be told the carpet is not ready. Our furniture piled up and no room for children due to unusable space was a nightmare to live with for another few weeks but I trusted them and agreed to a delayed fitting date. I was gutted. Nobody seemed to care to call us for further details; we were left with no customer care and after chasing them several times, they gave me assurance that everything could be sorted and that could have the carpet fitted on 23rd September. Despite the promises - we have been 100% told today that it is not happening again. They say I have to now wait until October. We have furniture and boxes everywhere, and so much is dependent on this carpet being installed. Yet you break promises and don't provide basic customer care. They have already started charging us and have already taken monthly installments. How can your company do this to people!??!?? I am genuinely disgusted with the service offered.
Where to start. Truly shocking. So we bought a new build and decided to use tapi carpets at marshmills Plymouth. We spent over 3500 as they had LVT flooring which looked nice in store. We had them back out as they had missed bits also took weeks to remove excess glue. Let's just say it did not look anywhere near as nice as the shop flooring. It it will do. We also had carpets fitted but unlike the people we used to finish the house they did not offer to cut the bottom of our doors. This was damaging our new carpets so they agreed at an additional cost they could cut the doors. This is the shocking bit. The two guys who came around DID NOT remove the fire doors and thought it would be a great idea whist they were hanging. Filling our house with dust and smoke and even TIPEXING the back of the doors where they had chewed the doors because they had used the wrong tool. They then took payment and left. 6 weeks on I am waiting for tapi carpets to replace my doors but because of stock issue and tapi not taking direct responsibilitiy passing the buck to sub contractors. I have been told these door will be replaced but wanted to warn anyone willing to spend with these you will regret it. Also the bathroom floor has rippled but to be honest we would rather pay someone else to correct this.
We approached the new store after we had a quote from another local chain. The service was so much better than C**right, the prices were less, the quality of carpet far superior and we even changed our mind on underlay and bought something far more sumptuous. Everyone comments that our lounge carpet is like walking on air. This is down to the environemtnally friendly, recycled underlay they have. I wouldn't go anywhere else for my carpets now. The staff were brilliant throughout.
Weve gone to Tapi twice now for new carpets and each time been served by Adrian. Adrian has been fantastic on both occasions. Expert advice with a bit of a laugh thrown in for good measure.
Hi Neil, thank you very much for taking the time to leave a review. It is really unfortunate this miscommunication took place at the measuring stage, it is not the high level of customer satisfaction Tapi are known for - I will pass your feedback & comments on. We do hope you love your new flooring for many years to come and hope to welcome you back soon. - Charlotte

Not so much Tapi fault, but the sales guy who came to initially measure up measured my stairs incorrectly resulting in the fitters who arrived not having enough carpet to lay. After much discussion with the manager at Tapi they found some more carpet in store which my fitters kindly went to collect and completed the job. Thank you to Damien the fitter, a big thumbs down to the Tapi employee who came to measure.
