We did find your policy and breakdown details and it appears that correct protocol was not followed, for whatever reason, on this occasion. You should, as you allude to, have been taken home on the Sunday and then offered a recovery to a garage the next working day at no additional cost. Having raised this with all concerned, we have this morning heard that you will be contacted in the next day or two with an apology and for a chat. Thanks for bringing this to our attention, and hopefully the outcome of our investigation with demonstrate our commitment to customer service and satisfaction.

For the price it "ok" at best. Tyre completely shredded due to pot hole on a Sunday afternoon. Called Autoaid to ask for a tow home so car could be placed on a drive and was told if I did this I'd have to pay for a tow again the following to a garage! Now being a Sunday afternoon, 99.9% of all garages are closed in the UK so my only option was to leave the car abandoned and arrange the tow for the following day. This was not ideal. Will look at other services come renewal.

Called out for breakdown, taken home and next day to garage. All good. Except when due to renew, I paid online and they also took it from my Bank. Now trying to get money back, third email sent, no response so far.

Very quick response within 20 mins. Unfortunately car couldn't be fixed so had to call again the next morning for recovery to a garage. Once again response within an hour. Polite friendly operatives. Excellent service.

Had an email in September telling me payment couldn't be taken because my card had expired. I called up and gave them my new card details. Same email again this month because they tried to take a payment from the same expired card. No empathy from a robotic call centre operative who made out it was my fault. Got a very defensive apology in the end. Another case of things going wrong and opportunities missed to restore customer faith.
